OpenPilot in the MME?

For anyone that is interested, Comma AI has released their “Comma 3” and an updated Panda interface (Red Panda) that supports CAN-FD.

It’s only a matter of time until the community is able to port OpenPilot to support the MME and the 2022 F-150 Lightning.

Seeing the extremely poor showing from Bluecruise that Sandy published on YouTube I suspect we will need Openpilot for any real handsfree experience. Have you ordered a red panda and comma3 yet? A little sad that it requires the 3 and not compatible with the older tech. I had hoped to buy the old stuff to port it before worrying about the new expensive tech.

Yeah I didn't realize that video was up. Very disappointing indeed! If it turns off for curves, what's the point?

The Ford rep called it a sharp curve.... ?. If that's sharp, then the interstate I live will be 30% blue cruise friendly

I do not know the exact answer, but I can confirm you do not require Bluecruise. Open Pilot will work if you have Co-Pilot features.
