I know this not a usual issue. I have fitted a 2021 Mach-e drivetrain to my 1965 Ford Falcon Sedan delivery . Every day or so I get the message that the OTA has not occurred and a download is next scheduled for 1:00 am the next day . If I turn everything off , keep the fob away from the vehicle, start the download , but it soon stops . I am warned that some other system is operating ??? What am I missing?

Well, one thing you can check is your 12V battery. Since if it’s not charged up above 80% SOC and in good health that OTA will not take the risk of bricking the vehicle if the 12V fails during installation.

I believe you could read Mach-Lee’s “12V battery FAQ” to learn lots.

In addition to the drive train, what other systems/modules did you port into the Falcon? It is likely that some OTAs are trying to update modules you do not have installed.

Have any photos of your car?

The car is mostly completed. I have been driving it for over a year and a half. I suppose I should just "turf" the original battery. I have refitted the RCM and am in the process of finishing the complete IMPA system.

Ford Mustang Mach-E OTA just will not function Falcon Just finished

I have discovered That the reason the OTA will not download is that the BCM is not seeing input from deleted door, seat and Mirror modules and it deems that the modules are "active" and it will not permit the OTA download (sigh)

I guess that you need to use FDRS regularly to update modules.

How do you update modules that aren't there? FDRS apparently has it's limitations
