Presumably, having to hit the button 3 times to open the door is not intended behavior. If they're changing some portion of the button function/logic it may inadvertantly fix the issue.

I would have low hopes. But it does seem possible.

The key word here is “inadvertently“. I’m not holding my breath.

So you're supposed to ignore an SVS message, but only after you get an update that you might have missed because as often as not the car and/or haven't notified you that the car got one. Meanwhile you get into your car and see the SVS wrench and a FordPass notification saying the car needs service. Your heart jumps, your wife gets twitchy, and you waste time trying to figure out WTF is wrong this time.

I think this refers to a one-time instance right after the update installs.

Do we know what model years this applies to? I hope it improves the "many button press to open door" issue, but I have my doubts. Of course, it seems to be worse when it rains

I’d have been impressed if it was a 2125 Mach-e though. Probably would’ve come with a proper flux capacitor I bet. Unless Ford decontented them.

I got the update on my 2025 model year MME today.

So the wrench icon appeared on my dash but is now gone after a power cycle (as mentioned in the update release notes) but I have a notification on the Ford Pass app that the car needs a service (which again the release notes said would happen). My question is, how do I clear the notification from the app?

I've been dealing with this issue for a while now. I hope this is the fix!

PaaK or fob? I switched to the fob, and while not completely gone, it is significanly better than with PaaK.

I use a mix of both FOB stays in my work bag and PAAK after work, weekends. I did not notice a difference between the two.

Since the update it appears to work flawlessly, one push door opens.

Yep, I also have this problem on my '22. Often buttons are lit and doors are unlocked but i have to press several times to open the door.

Got the update this morning, The orange wrench icon, And 4wd powertrain fault message.
Drove fine, and fault cleared after I got to the grocery store.

2nd update since I bought it in Oct.

Also a Canadian vehicle, so guessing updates not geographic, or I'd still be waiting

Similar to @LowGun84, I use a mix of both. Sometimes it works like a charm, other days I need to push the button several times. I'm still waiting for my MME to receive the update.
