@LowGun84 If you don't mind, message me the VIN so I can pull the details of the OTA for @elmedico27 to add it the OTA history github page he maintains.

Got your message. Details are below. All 4 door modules were updated to the AD strategy. Install took 6 minutes with the vehicle in inhibit mode.

Ford Mustang Mach-E OTA Update - DCMX-25.AD 1767978097739-jz

@elmedico27 So you can copy/paste to github:

Group ID 1 - Priority Update – Vehicle Doors

Side Door Operation

  • This software update contains the following key changes:
  • Prevents a potential future issue that may result in the side doors being unable to unlock when commanded from the exterior of the vehicle.
  • In some instances after this update, a "Service vehicle soon" wrench icon may appear in your instrument cluster and will remain visible until you dismiss it by pressing the "OK" button on your steering wheel, or it will clear automatically with the next ignition cycle. You may also receive a FordPass notification indicating service is needed on the vehicle, which you can disregard. Please be assured this is a visual notification only and does not indicate any functional impact on your vehicle.

Do we know what model years this applies to? I hope it improves the "many button press to open door" issue, but I have my doubts. Of course, it seems to be worse when it rains :frown:

We've been dealing with the door won't open the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. time. Hopefully we get this in Canada and resolved this issue. It's getting on our nerves...

While I appreciate the transparency of the release notes, damn they sure aren't confidence inspiring.

So you're supposed to ignore an SVS message, but only after you get an update that you might have missed because as often as not the car and/or haven't notified you that the car got one. Meanwhile you get into your car and see the SVS wrench and a FordPass notification saying the car needs service. Your heart jumps, your wife gets twitchy, and you waste time trying to figure out WTF is wrong this time.

Well done Ford. Heavy sigh.

Why would we think that an update that’s supposed to fix a “potential future issue” fix a problem that’s been continually happening for over 5 years?

Since the original post has an owner of a 2025 Mach E, does that mean those of us with an older model (2023 Mach E GT) will not receive this update? I experience the same problem at time with my MME.

Sounds like we're all waiting to see if it applies to earlier year builds. I sure hope so. But I am so used to pressing repeatedly, it's just habit now. Would be nice to have that fixed. 🤞

Hah, here I thought it was just me. Vehicle wakes up 10' away, but often doesn't unlock until multiple presses. Never occurred it was a software thing. I was contemplating a new battery for my fob.

Exactly what mine was doing seems better but it’s only been 2 days.

Presumably, having to hit the button 3 times to open the door is not intended behavior. If they're changing some portion of the button function/logic it may inadvertantly fix the issue.

I would have low hopes. But it does seem possible.
