Hi All,

With the recent flurry of OTA updates being released by Ford, I was curious to know if they are mostly being pushed out in the USA or if some fellow Canadian forum members are getting them too.
I have been having a lot of issues with my APIM due to 1.7.1 update and recently had it replaced and updated manually to 2.3 by the dealer. I was curious if the lack of OTA updates are due to an issue with the car or just delayed OTA's by Ford for Canadian owners.

My father-in-law and I both have Mach-E's and and even though I I didn't get updates due to issues with my APIM, he has only been updated to 2.3 from Jan 2022. Since then, he has not received any OTA updates despite having his schedule set for every day of the week at 1am.

Howdy,

I got 2.3 a few weeks ago, nothing since. In the past month or so I've had a few problems that have cropped up:

Walk away lock does not work now,
memory seat does not work,
PAAK does not sense my arrival like it used to and sometimes requires password start unless I turn off acc and open and close door,
apple Carplay will not work unless connected.

I've taken it in to dealer last week and they did a couple updates, but still all there. My build date is 21 Jul 2021 so the Job 1 customer satisfaction update does not show on my file at the dealer... but I think it is actually Job one with the faults I'm getting.

Our car is currently "stuck" after trying to install the 1.7.1 update. Not having any issues with the car. There is quite a long discussion about other that are "stuck" and waiting for Ford to put out a fix. We'll see what happens.

It seems anything past 2.3 are for the early adopters in the US. How did you get the dealer to replace the APIM?

Back in late October/early November 2021, I took the car into the dealer requesting them to address various Sync concerns(Phone connectivity, carplay issues, PAAK) related to TSB 21-2310. When they tried installing the updates at the time, they ran into the issues with the updates failing (the now known 1.7.1 APIM lock issue) I was in communication with the dealer and had to take the car there on two different occasions for multiple days at a time. I even had a support case opened with Ford themselves after they reached out to me on the Forum. The dealer did various tests while in contact with the Ford hotline and nothing worked, so the lead technician at the dealer said that the APIM needed to be replaced as it appeared to be locked and preventing updates. Due to the failed updates, I was having issues where the infotainment screen would frequently go completely black, preventing use of any climate control, 360 cameras, etc.

They then ordered a new APIM and I waited about 2-months for it to arrive. Once it arrived, they installed all updates related to CSP 21P22 and the most recent updated for the APIM, bringing the car up to what appears to be version 2.3.0

I was in constant communication with my service rep at the dealer and she was extremely helpful and championed the resolution of my issues. I think that I may be lucky to have such a good dealership service department who is focused on customer service and satisfaction.
