Was anyone able to get this covered under warranty? Noticed mine was missing while washing the car over the weekend.

I just had this done on Tuesday. The guy showed me the invoice. The part itself was $1,600. They had to outsource a window company which is another $200. So the total bill of $1,800 was paid under warranty. I think these come from the factory missing or not glued down strongly enough.

Did your window need to be replaced? It's absurd that the trim piece is not available solo.

Yeah it's a whole window part. I didn't see it but it's the entire window and entire trim. They don't sell the trim piece. There was a guy on here that found one through a salvage yard.

I know absolutely nothing about 3D printing, but, this little trim piece sounds like a candidate for it.

Edit: but I agree for cars in warranty, a warranty claim is step one, trim isn’t supposed to fall off, excepting maybe the sail panels on cyber trucks? yes, I do know that having those fall off was not the design intent.
