The MME isn’t the only EV with this concern, for sure. But I will say I find it very unusual in all the giant infotainment series of seemingly infinite preference settings, that there is zero way to monitor the 12v battery heath & SoC. Even my basic MG ZS EV had a 12v battery level indicator, right there on HUD next to tyre pressure readout. Totally logical and useful. Hyundai even has on on-demand physical button to charge the 12v from the main battery.

Subsequently, 48V is the way many are going: https://www.caresoftglobal.com/thinking/the-evolution-of-48-volt-architecture-in-electric-vehicles/

Why still 12v?: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a38537243/electric-cars-12-volt-batteries/

My 2022 is in the shop for the second time this summer for the same reason. "Powertrain fault".
That's 3 total now. 1 part replacement for not charging. 2 for powertrain fault.

I'm not happy with the quality, unfortunately. This vehicle wasn't ready for primetime.

I've owned, in the last 15 years; a Nissan, 2 Mazdas, a Kia, a Honda and a Volkswagen (current second car). I was thinking about this last night when I was driving the Mach E in for repair.... I've only had to bring ONE of those vehicles in for an issue within 2 years. Here's the punchline ... It was the 2009 Mazda 6 ... which was built in the Michigan Ford Mustang plant.

Not sure what’s worse though-

Rushing the Mach E to market

or

Those poor people still waiting for their 2023 Chevy Blazer SS.

It ain’t perfect, but at least I have a car to drive. ?

I find it unique to car forums that individuals find it necessary to tell people they are leaving/selling when it has absolutely no impact on the people they are addressing.
Yah, I always scratch my head a little with these posts.

Am I supposed to suddenly get rid of my Mach-E now?

Raise a pitchfork and torch and scream "Yah! Death to Ford!"

Is this asking for help?

If this was an article about the Mach-E in which people in the comment section are not necessarily owners, I would get it as maybe a warning to stay away. But nearly everyone reading this owns a Mach-E already. This reminds me of my favorite analogy of someone telling you the chocolate chip cookies taste awful after you've already eaten three. :)

Sometimes we are reminded that the forum is mostly men.

We (speaking as a man) immediately assume anyone who has a complaint about a problem wants us to fix it.

Sometimes people just want to complain and be heard. ?‍♂

Regardless, as a man, I’ll still try to fix it. ?

It’s not about the nail. ?

Well if posts like this do nothing else, at least they provide a warning to people considering buying a MME to think twice. I wish I had seen more like this before I leased mine.

I'd probably have done the same had I run across a few choice posts, but there's just not enough time to read years worth of complaints before buying a vehicle. Let alone attempt to reason how many. are legit issue or luck of the draw. At the same time that would have caused more rabbit holes and probably analysis paralysis.

I absolutely cannot wait to get rid of this vehicle. There is ALWAYS a battery/tech issue. My car won’t install updated because the battery says low SOC. Called the dealership and there’s a 2 month wait to get it looked at. The end of this lease can’t happen fast enough
If you are upset, ask ford for a buy back. There is a process under lemon law.

it's his complaining which is a feature, not a bug with the mach e community. He's been on this forum since 23, more than enough time to look up solutions, instead only time he posts is to complain.
I can complain all I want for the amount I paid for this car. It's had multiple battery issues on top of powertrain issues.

I can empathise with you. I love driving the car but there are_so_many issues. I 've had more warranty work, recalls and TSB's performed on this car than any other car I've owned. The only car that came close was a Fiat Bravo and I swore I would never buy Fiat again. I'm coming very close to that with Ford as this was my first Ford car. It's a real shame that build quality issues and design flaws are letting it down as it deserves to do better.
