Well I'm sure the less than 1000 lightning owners will be upset about that. I just found out that 37 lightnings have been allocated for my entire state (Utah) for the rest of 2022

I'm frankly surprised PaaK hasn't improved more in the almost year and a half since the Mach-E launch.

Some things just feel like low hanging fruit, like how the vehicle turns on and then seconds later, you could get a 'No Key Detected' message. Seems even if they have connectivity issues with PaaK that are hard to overcome, they can code a rule where if the vehicle just turned on (or frankly has been on for any length of time), it shouldn't search for the key again until the vehicle is powered off.

On the other hand, maybe this has been fixed, I still don't have the PaaK software update.

Brand new 2022 today. Wife's phone setup just fine. Mine won't download the key, same as the 2021. So a Ford server issue IMO. Same phone.

Your experience will likely be quite different once you get the software update done. It improves PaaK reliability dramatically. I've now unintentionally left my physical keyfob at home without noticing on several occasions, because my phone will allow the car to unlock and start as quickly as the fob. Never had a 'No Key Detected' message since the update.

I tried PAAK. Meh. And then when my APIM got replaced last Feb I just never set it back up. I have a fob and the wife has one as well. And we have separate profiles in the car tagged to each fob and it works fine. I will likely never setup PAAK in my Lightning when it gets here.

Works well for me too. I have a March 22 build with no updates after being built. PaaK works every time.

Glad to hear that, my car is going in for some warranty work and a cracked pano roof next week - dealer plans to install it then.
