Paak failing again?

I've got an S25+ and it updated to Oneui 8 a couple of weeks ago. PAAK is working good for me. I don't have any problems with it.
I assume you've deleted your key from Fordpass and reset it.

I have. And as I've mentioned, I'm only really seeing an issue with walk up unlock and even that is intermittent. I'm on One UI 7.

Just walk up unlock has been failing. Forced to unlock phone and, in some cases, open the FordPass app and unlock the car that way. I can still drive with just my phone and walk away lock is still working.

Funnily, sometimes pumping the unlock button on the door again and again and again will finally get the car to unlock but not always. Annoying but I've also set up my door code and FordPass backup code in the event PaaK completely fails.

I'm having this exact issue. Including the repeat door button pressing intermittently working. I guess it's back to carrying the fob again.

Sorry to read. PAAK problems are frustrating. Does this appear to be android only?

BTW, PAAK stranded my wife. First time ever but PAAK has always been flakey at times for me.

Same happened to me, S23 ultra, stopped working entirely for phone as key. So couldn't walk up or turn on the car without backup code or door passcode.
No issues for 4 years and this happened.

What fixed the issue was actually deleting the phone as key on the fordpass app. Uninstalling it. Going into the car and resetting phone has key. Got the email notification (very important) and then setting up everything again. As of this morning, everything PAAK related has been running smoothly. Good luck everyone and hope this works for you.

I recently got my car back from service and they reset the car. I assumed the PaaK not working was some silly quirk from that but I guess not. I'm on a Pixel phone running Android 16 and its been great, until very recently.

I'll try redoing the PaaK setup in the car and see if that improves things, but I've also been lazy and haven't done the basics yet, like rebooting my phone for instance.

Deleting the key from Ford pass while in the car with your fob and resetting Paak on FP has worked for me.

Mine was acting funky, started two days ago, so I just carried the fob with me and cussed a Ford a few times. Today was just fine though, I really believe the cussing helps.

Signing out of the PAAK and back in again worked for me after my iOS update. Fist time in many months I had an issue. Major phone update nuked my saved authorization token.

iPhone Air with iOS 26.

Spontaneous reboots of iPhone on wireless charger when connected to CarPlay.

Unresponsiveness with app and then device key wasn’t active but at least backup start code was.

Tried to add phone back, that resulted in my backup code somehow being removed. Left stranded.

That resulted in a trip home to get a remote.

I will keep a hidden remote in the car now.

PAAK Problems for me, Samsung S23+ owner. What has been a quick fix is to turn off Bluetooth then turn it back on. Then refresh/slide down in the FordPass app and it reconnects. Seems like the now when the phone can't connect with BlueTooth, it just stops trying and won't try again.
