Packages for the 2023 MME

I oredered my MME through my dealer last week. I did not add additional packages to my order but I am considering some. I assume the Indoor protection package is basically Weather Tec mats? Any comments on the bumper protection pkg? First Aid Package? Other pkg.s?

IME when ordering a Ford Maverick in June of last year. Anything that can be added later by you or the dealer leave off the order. The reason being is it's just one more thing that can potentially keep you from getting scheduled because of constraints.

That's why I left the OEM all weather floor mats off my Mav order and then once it arrived I found them new on Ebay from a dealer out east and installed them myself.

You can modify the order, but as mentioned it may mess with your delivery date, even if unlikely. You also get 42000 FordPass Points for buying a new Ford vehicle, and that is worth a couple hundred bucks. Since you don't have to worry about oil changes, which the points are usually used for, you can use them for Ford Parts and have the dealer order the interior protection package mats once you get the car and points, and pay for all or most of it with points!

You still get the same product, can keep your original mats, and save some cash. I think the interior protection is the only package I consider to be really worth it, as others have stated on threads about it, they are good quality and good coverage mats with the Mach-e logo. I love WeatherTech and have a set of theirs, but it's nice to have the vehicle logo when you can if you aren't really giving up coverage.

The first aid kit is just that, can build your own or buy one. The bumper protection I do want. There are aftermarket alternatives, but they aren't textured like the Ford one. So I may be asking my dealer to install it after it arrives.

The rear bumper protector is just a textured PPF strip. I often forget that I bought and installed one. I bought off of eBay for a lot less than Ford prices. ??

Thr Interior Protecton Package is Ford-exclusive and more expensive than some of the aftermarket alternatives. They are thick rubber floor mats. I bought 3D Maxpider mats off of RockAuto (they had them on sale at the time I bought and I got the passenger floor set and the cargo mat for less than FordPass wanted for just the passenger floor set). I prefer the look of those and I had positive experiences with 3D in other cars. The TuxMats and Weathertech options s are also worth considering. ??

22,000 for an EV, worth $110, plus 250kWh of charging at Electrify America chargers.

Mats didn't come with my 2021, so I bought all them at my dealership's Parts counter, at their internet site prices, using all my points up and then some (GM put it on his account until the points hit). I then moved them to my 2022. I bought both bumper protection strips in Parts.

Ah yes, you are correct. It's 42k for ICE vehicles but the MME is 22,000. I apologize. Still enough to knock a bit off the floor mats anyway.

Yeah, many forget about the cargo area floor coverage. For an OEM package it's actually really well priced, especially if as I noted in my earlier post you like something that has the vehicle name on it instead of a 3rd party companies name. I typically get WeatherTech mats, but with my '21 F-150 went with the Ford supplied ones because they also have an F-150 logo and that on them and have great coverage. I had the Ford branded ones in my 2019 F-150 before it and they had less coverage and didn't have the nice logo. Ford is stepping it up on some of the packages making them easier to order compared to going aftermarket in every instance.

Yes, but if you buy the mats after you buy the car, they do not come with the cargo mat. That’s separate, or at least it was when I bought my car. ?‍?

You can generally buy all the package products later online from Amazon from another Ford dealer for about 40% off and put them on yourself


Additionally, there a third-party products that are better than the Ford products that you might want to consider

I don’t order any of that crap with the car. I deal with the dealer later and get a discount if I want to get the ford product.

All those dealer added accessory products are available much cheaper after you buy the vehicle so just don’t
