Paint Issue?

Same here. Got my 24 MME in September. The feel is rough. Worst on the roof. The hood and trunk are the only places it seems fine.

Did the official Ford account get back to you after sending the your VIN? I have other issues and Ford EV support has quite unhelpful. ?

They did but only to encourage me to go to the dealership for further evaluation. Not that helpful.

The same issue is starting for me. It is the worst above the doors but starting on the quarter panels also.

Looks really bad. Call the warranty department and take it into a dealership to check it out.
I took mine in and the dealership service department submitted pictures to Ford and opened a case. Waiting on their proposed resolutions. It takes a month or so for their evaluation process to complete.
Hope for the best. Paint issues are no fun :/

I have been working with Ford on my vehicle since posting this back in February. They reached out after seeing my post. Contact the BEV team at Ford and see what they can help you with, there is a TSB but your dealer will need to verify it is the same issue as the service bulletin.

Thank you. I printed off the tsb and will visit my dealer tomorrow to at least document and see if they can get approval for it despite it being just outside of warranty. It appears to be exactly the same issue.
This should be a customer service program. Not just a TSB.

I 1,000% agree that this should be a customer sastification program. Ford has thus far been very easy to work with on this and I hope it continues and either becomes a CSP or they provide financhial assistance for the fix.

Mine had it on the drivers side door sill since early on. I wasn’t going to bother with it since I thought it was just some clear coat that wasn’t done the best.

my car is only a year old but it is new on the roof.

Great to hear. My dealer is generally good and Ford has been good for previous issues too. Hoping this continues. Since there is. TSB I’m optimistic.

Is there a version of the TSB for UK/Europe does anyone know? It can't be US specific as all the cars are made in Mexico at the same factory.
