So I contacted my dealer, and I know more than them. According to the dealer, my car still shows as being in Mexico on their VVR. Dealer will only say it will arrive by the ETA because they "dont want me to be disappointed if it doesn't arrive on an earlier date".

According to Palsapp (my pal!) it shows this once your car arrives in KC. I've read elsewhere here it takes about a week to get out here from KC. Might be time to start camping out at my dealer, I bet they have free wifi. Gotta make sure they don't drill my front bumper or sell my car to someone else... (I'm only half joking here)

I'm rooting for ya! That's at least better than my sales guy. He promised me a VVR update on Saturday and now hasn't been returning my texts. Fantastic. However I also think mine is chilling for a uber ride out of KC. Should be any time for both of us...

I think I've read here that you're basically trucked out of KC for Illinois because it's so close. I think the United Road site might give insights if you can figure out how to register yourself there.

Did you guys find this out through contacting your dealers? I think my car is hopefully in the same Uber, as it shipped on 9/14 as well

Palsapp is a trucking company app. The trucking company moved my car from the Kansas City Southern rail yard in Kansas City to the Norfolk Southern rail yard in Kansas City. It's only useful if your dealer is within trucking distance of Kansas City.

Yep -- my car took a tour of the KC choo-choo yards this morning and is clearly getting on a train out to California now. Don't think there's other ways to track the car until it gets off the train and gets on a local car carrier to my dealer.

Contact your dealer and get a copy of the Vehicle Visibility Report. On the report will be the rail car number. Then learn how to track rail cars. I find it works best if the carrier is CSX (east coast or Union Pacific (west coast).

I feel for you guys... Here's my timeline for comparison:

Mexico to Kansas City Voltz -14 days
Sat in KC for 2.5 weeks (pure torture)
Kansas City to Avon Lake, OH - 3 days
Loaded on a semi and sat for almost a week (2 miles from my house, 20 miles from dealer! Yes I saw it there)
Delivered to dealer and picked up the following day.

The Ford estimated delivery changed multiple times, none were accurate.

PALSAPP was accurate just slow to update. Dealer was useless.

If you really want to torture yourself, check out heritageunits.com and try to spot your train. I won't tell you how many times I went there!

My dealer told me today that my car is still in Mexico. Not a ton of cooperation happening from them.

I see alot of us got the beautiful updates yesterday and today. I went from production in process since 8/16 which it was built the 8/18 but bar never updated to yesterday built and today on way to dealer.

First email expected delivery was 10/25-10/31

The shipped email this morning now states 11/6-11/12

Yeah, I really love the idea of taking delivery of a $70k vehicle only to have to immediately change the summer tires over to winters which is just more money to plunk down

BNSF to SoCal and possibly to your area. But if not then on Union Pacific. Either way it’s an information black hole. It took about a week for mine to get to San Diego from the Argentine Ramp in KC west.

Your only hope on info is the Vehicle Viz report. But personally I bet it gets to the large car depot up in Richmond about a week from now, then via truck to the South Bay on “somebody.”

Your mileage may vary but …

Two weeks from Ford Cuautitlán to Kansas City MO. That’s due to track class mostly. Then an indeterminate period at KC waiting for Jack Cooper to move your vehicle from that ramp to the Argentine Ramp in KC Kansas. That ramp is joint use with BNSF and UP. Then a week once one of those loads it and heads out. You’ll likely get an update via VV from your dealer before Palsapp shows they moved it.

How do I know this? This was our hobby while waiting for delivery early this year. It’s also why we say Palsapp will drive you nuts.

On the bright side, you won’t have a 5 week wait on the dock in San Diego waiting for Pasha to get around to shipping your car to Hawaii. So that’s a plus!
