Ford Mustang Mach-E Please enter your passcode 20240909_101439

I decided to test my memory and see if I remember the code and can start my car without the phone and the key, and found that the problem is not with my memory but with the start-up process - I tried two times several hours apart with the same result - the screen doesn't show the keyboard to enter the passcode. I know it worked the last time, but it was months ago.

Unfortunately, it's another reminder for PAAK users to have the key hidden in the car somewhere.

For me whenever that happens all I have to do is tap the password field and the keyboard shows up.
this has happened to me before too, you can tell even from the screenshot above that the user has indeed tapped into the field because the cursor is in the middle of the text

someone previously said resetting the screen fixed it for them, i have not tested myself

I did that, and it didn't help. Tried to tap in the area where the keyboard should be, too.

Tried that as well.

A great example of why PaaK isn't foolproof, and you should not travel without a fob unless Ubering or towing is fun for you.

If you’re just local in town, I think it’s a fair risk to take since a 10 min Uber ride would not be a big deal. But going on a road trip with only PaaK? Potentially trip-ruining.

You'd know better than me. We never use ride-sharing services locally, and have only used them maybe 3 times ever. But buy us they wouldn't be cheap given length of trip, etc, and no way would it be a 10 minute wait.

To close the loop - I started the car with PaaK, waited an hour or so, and tried the passkey again - it worked as expected this time.

With Ford software, you never know what you gonna get, it's never boring.

This was posted way back when.....I've never tried it myself. I only use my FOB.

Press the "Start" button without the brake pedal and then OK on the steering wheel.
