I am ashamed that I didn't ask this question while sitting in a Mach E during show days, but could you clarify on Connectivity issue after we buy Mach E? LIke - I guess we have a navigation map in the vehicle, of we have Spotify app there - does Ford provides mobile data connection (4G/5G) for some apps/services in the car? If I have a Spotify account, can I just login and start listening to a music? I would guess some data connectivity should be provided with a vehicle. What it is? What stuff is free and what is not? Thank you and I apologize again if it was discussed before (I am pretty sure it was but I cannot find it).

Yes on 4G as far as I know but I would think to use Spotify you need need to sub to a wireless plan. Some stuff will be free like updates but anything that is really using data like Spotify pretty sure you will have to pay some kind of subscription for. I'm hoping there are some reasonable wireless packages.

If it is so it's kind of another small, but still a "negative" comparing to Tesla. Not only they have some free data - like watching Netflix and a map with a great feature allowing you to calculate your route via Superchargers net, but also I was a bit confused by the fact that they chose to position big display in Mach E in a Portrait orientation. Somebody in Ford definitely didn't think about using that display as an entertainment center - watching a movie in Tesla with its Landscape display is so much natural than watching it on a Portrait-oriented display. And if you say that display should not have things like Netflix (or similar) that's would be pretty dumb thing to say in this time and age.

Not sure if we've gotten a definitive answer yet. The internal features (maps, app control) have included connectivity (AT&T network, IIRC), but still not sure about other app connectivity. Monthly fee?... Wifi? ... Cell phone?

Not a negative to me--much more a positive. I for one am delighted with the portrait orientation for the screen. A landscape orientation would take up too much horizontal space and require great field of vision to grasp overall content of the screen. I know that some feel otherwise but I cannot imagine ever wanting to watch a movie on my car screen. If that is really important to someone, they definitely should let that factor move them toward a Tesla.

I disagree. I love the fact they went with portrait orientation. I feel that works best for me and allows for more applications to show at once.

I never even once considered the need to use that thing as an entertainment device. I usually exit the vehicle when I get where I am going.

I suppose if I DCFC'd often then maybe it would be cool to watch a movie.....??

Oh, I missed that change withe the subscription - my friend has it for free, but he definitely bought his Tesla before 2018. Still, $9.99 is not bad - but I do not see currently how it is useful for Mach E owners as they are hard warriors and do not need any entertainment (not even music? :) with B&O
The idea of landscape is fine but the portrait mode allows for multi tasking and having the ability to have certain features always available at the bottom while having your primary window on top showing you what you want. Think of it as a split screen with 2 7" monitors one on top of the other

I would agree, but I do not think there should be a primary reason to have something constantly on a display - not while driving at least - I thought that's why Mach E has 10 inch display in front of the driver.
