Positive thoughts and feedback Ford Customer service

While a lot of this is all chaotic I was happy to have 2 really receptive customer service agents today when I called Ford ..

With all that is going on it’s nice that at least they are listening to feedback..

They assured me I could do any future recall or service with another dealership.

meanwhile multiple texts today threatening me from AutoNation Ford that if I didn’t come back they would not transfer ownership of my vehicle.

i was told by Ford that would be illegal the guy even said “dealerships can’t blackmail you with stuff like this”

fingers crossed the message is escalated appropriately so far no further response since I confirmed that Ford verified they couldn’t do that.I’ve had 3 other amazing experiences with AutoNation Ford in last 10-12 years but this was enough I’m never going back to that place ..

Literally makes me panic thinking about it

Gosh, these Ford stealerships are making it so no one in their right mind would ever deal with them again. I don't know of any other business that can stay afloat when their employees lie, threaten, act surly like they are doing you a favor by interacting with you, and demonstrate complete incompetence. I have just heard more horror stories about Ford Dealerships than I have about any other car brand. Don't get me wrong, I've linked up with a good one, but I consider myself in the minority.

Oh..there was a recall for some cars built in July for rear Axle Half Shaft..if that was the case, they shouldn't have sold until it was fixed..you can put your VIN to see if your car was part of the recall.

Wow that's nuts. As @Anvina72 stated, they should not have let you take the vehicle with an open recall.

They made a *big* mistake, are probably paying some hefty fines to Ford and/or NHTSA, and should now be bending over backwards to have you bring it in so they can fix it.

Check your VIN on the site listed above. If your car is listed, then you’ll need to have the selling dealership complete the recall. (If it isn’t, ask them for written proof that your car has a pending recall on it.)

Not to be alarmist, but if your car is on the rear axel shaft recall list, it is serious and you should be very careful. The rear axel can literally snap into two pieces. You’ll need to get it looked at, and if it has the defective part, fixed ASAP.

You do not have to go back to that dealership for any reason. You should definitely get the recall fixed, but you can do that at any Ford dealership. Autonation will get fined $21k I believe for selling you that car with the defect if there was a stop sell order from Ford when your vehicle was sold, karma ?

What everyone says. If your car was subject to a stop sale recall due to the half-axle recall, get it to SOME ford dealer ASAP (and to be safe, I suggest not driving it - that’s what a stop-sale is for). Yep, AutoNation made a mistake. Yes, instead of being jerks, they should have just said “hey, we made a big ooops here and need you to please bring in your car ASAP. This is a safety issue. We can provide you a loaner while we fix your car.” Easy-peasy.
Sigh. Why do some dealers have to be so dramatic ?

There is no chance in any universe that I’ll have them perform any work etc

usually I’m not this steadfast on stuff but I don’t trust them whatsoever.. unless someone in scottsdale wants to offer to be my bodyguard and physically watch whatever they do .. it’s not gonna happen

prob me being dramatic in some ways but they put me thru the shredder and there is no love lost on either side

the fact they will lie cheat and steal to my face can’t imagine what they do when I’m not watching
And also I don’t necessarily feel like they have a certified EV person ..

If anyone knows about AutoNation Ford scottsdale and can verify anything that would be helpful.. trust me I don’t want to have all this anxiety but I do know they are not trying to do me any favors

Take it down to Chapman. I’d love to witness this exchange though. As I type this I’m less than 2 miles away from Autonation Ford Scottsdale. If I didn’t have an afternoon of meetings I’d swing by!

As others said, Autonation is going to get fined. Not sure how this goes if you go somewhere else to get it recalled though.

Supposedly…. I say with trepidation after speaking to either the “owner” or GM today of AN ford he said he’d personally meet me at the dealership and take my keys and hand the part to the service dept

i am not sure how I feel about it I also know I’d be able to do the recall At Chapman but I’m certain that AutoNation would make life miserable.. not that they haven’t already

it’s almost comical I mean I’ve spent literally almost 14 days babysitting every move that is made and then sending it back for errors..

i feel lucky as hell that this forum provides feedback I can’t imagine how id be if I were just going along with all this ..

In a perfect world dealerships would not be involved a neutral third party with zero vested interest would be able to complete this recall ..

If there is such a person who can be paid to make sure my car is ok and recall not jacked up .. at this point I’d pay for that .. maybe I’ll bug my car .. lol

it’s just ridiculous.. then again I pause and think much worse things people stress over
For me this is a huge purchase ..
I’ve spent more time griping than I prefer

the good part is that I fricking love the car so that helps

there has to be a end to this
I’ve come full circle My bank is funding remaining balance.. so if I were smarter I could have avoided this drama ..
