Ok. Compare to a Tesla instead.Love people chiming who have no idea how software dev works, especially for devices that could kill people if something went wrong comparing it to an iPhone
Ok so one company is doing this. You said plenty of other companies have figured it out. First gen product, and tbh theyāve already fixed a ton of stuff for Job 1 users, 90% of my issues and new features were done OTA. Thereās clearly a plan to make things better, Doug Field is head of software now, and Iām sure heās concerned with more forward lookjjg stuff but I donāt think itās a coincidence we got a whole new UI within a year after he was hired. I guess the icon design didnāt make it to his level though lolOk. Compare to a Tesla instead.
I love the obligatory "software is hard! Not every company can do it properly!" post.
The Mach E has been in production for a long time. Think outside the box a bit, buddy. Allocation your development resources the the seeking out and destruction of bugs. There are still WAY too many.
And if the problem is too many modules scattered between too many revisions of the car... Guess what? I guess that's a f-up that should have been forseeable eh?
It's ridiculous that there are people who because they decided to buy a car you can't have a reasonable criticism (this is WELL within the realm of reasonable expectation). I should really shrug my shoulders and say "hey I know they're trying really hard" whenever my car does something wrong or doesn't work. About twice or three times a week.
Ridiculous.
Meh!Just got this today, 2021, job 2, EA
No, just part of the general EA population and never been offered a Beta program. So for those of you who are also in EA....are you enrolled in a specific program?
Same, show no programs. For intelligent range it did list that, I think I enrolled, but that was the only program I have seen listed. No, just part of the general EA population and never been offered a Beta program.
I got the update this morning. And Iāve been driving around listing to podcasts using CarPlay and the listening has been the same as before; it didnāt seem any easier or harder.āEasy listening improvementsā?
Iāve been able to use my hotspot on my IPhone 14, but it took me two tries to get the car to connect.Even with this new update I still canāt connect to my iPhone 13 max hotspot, has anybody been able to use there hotspot?
The things about bugs is that your bugs maybe different than mine and they may not be repeatable and you maybe 1 of only 18 people experiencing a bug.Ok. Compare to a Tesla instead.

I have been thinking there is a connection between the Beta groups and being Blacklisted for OTAs because updates could impact data collection, just a SWAG.Well that's the reason I asked...I think there are a lot of people who have signed up to the EA overall program and are 'enrolled' but aren't in an early access group for things like Sync updates etc. And they're wondering why they aren't getting stuff....becuse darn it "I'm in EA!". Except....not really.
This sounds like a copy/paste update from one of those cheap chinese carplay retrofits.āEasy listening improvementsā?
