So, just purely hypothetically... if you could give Ford feedback about 5.1.1, what would you say?

It didn't break anything I'm aware of, but the release notes appear to be wrong and I have no idea what it actually did other than update the GWM.

Hypothetically... I would say I'm neutral on the update itself because it does nothing we can discern, and I would say I'm very dissatisfied with the update release notes because they are completely inaccurate and a multi-billion dollar business should not be consistently messing stuff like this up, especially after years of OTA experience.

Agreed.. I would hypothetically have no issue other than the bad release notes

My guess is a security patch for gwm to close a potential exploit.

My guess is a prep for BC 1.3.
They probably just added some notation in the code and marked it as a new revision just to throw a little hope out there ?

If the strike goes off I don't see 1.3 coming this year. They're training salaried employees on forklifts and packing orders to keep parts flowing (yes, really)

my hypothetical feedback is that it's really hard to give feedback when you don't actually know what you're giving feedback about..... nor would a single update give me an opinion on whether i'd recommend ford to someone else....

Hypothetically, of course.
Hypothetically, if I were to receive a request for feedback, and respond, hypothetically I would respond with a very similar answer as you suggested. Hypothetically.

I thought 5.1.1 was prepping the car for NACS ?????
(Note to people who don’t “get me” - I’m KIDDING!)

Clearly it was to prep for the park assist chips that are missing from 2022 MY cars.

If only there was someone on the forum that had a perfect track record of predicting the first PowerUp for BlueCruise updates.
We could call him… NostraMarkus

If you keep posting about it in every thread... It might just happen.
