Pre-collision alert

I’ve had a pre-collision alert pop up in two different Ford vehicles when passing a parked car on the shoulder when approaching a curve. First time was in a rented Ford Edge on a highway. Second time was in my MachE on a city street. It seems that since it occurs at a curve the sensors are projecting that my car is headed into the parked car. It is confusing to have the alert come on when there’s nothing in your lane ahead of you.

I had the same thing happen just the other day. The alert in the Mach-E does seem to be more sensitive than other cars I have owned in the past.

I have it happen when the car in front of me is slowing to make a right turn at the next intersection.

That's sooo annoying. Is there any way to turn it off completely?

Our crash alert worked just like it was designed. Stopping our MME, we wished the lady behind us had the same system. $7,000 in damages .

For that, I have a dual front/rear-facing dashcam. In a previous car I got rear-ended, and the person drove off.

That's sooo annoying. Is there any way to turn it off completely?

Try changing the sensitivity in the settings. I don't get false positives anymore.
