Preconditioning resets profile??

Every time I precondition my car, it resets the profile to guest. Is this normal? Any way to make it stay on my profile? I only have one profile set.

No, it is not normal. A recent update introduced a bug.

You should be able to switch to your profile by hitting "1" on the door.

That only works occasionally for me. Most times, resetting Sync works, rarely, I just have to wait until I get in the next time.

It's stupid bugs like this that annoy me. Profile switching, rare occasions when it doesn't pre-condition or worse, doesn't charge. Rarely it's charged to 100% because it lost GPS connectivity and didn't know I was at a previously seen charger. None of these things take away from it being a great overall car, but it sure can annoy me some days.
