Base price means before tax, title, etc. Read first sentence. Tell dealer to call Ford like it tells him to.

Yeah i agree i am going to personally go and train the folks in dealership. Thats the plan after lunch tomorrow. Hope i am able to get them to read.

My dealer is ready to protect base price only not price increase in the extended range battery of 1000$ and 95$ increment in options saying the price protection is on base only. Albeit the customer service mentioned its on total price not just base which is what i think they quoted me from the above information in the thread. Since the thread mentions only base not anything about options or incentive.

Thanks going to dealer so this information does help but as i said Ford just needs to give that price protection like they did with that 750$ thing to avoid all this confusion

Price of my GTPE was $66,890
The new sticker price on the MME is now $69890 from Ford

Is that the $2-3k price hike as 12/8/21?
I am waiting for the Salesman to confirm I am protected since I ordered in October 2021

Just brainstorming here but their position does not make sense. I think the models that had a $2,000 increase came standard with the ER Battery. The model with a $1,000 had the SR and that is why there was an additional increase of $1,000 for the ER option. So if a GT has a full protection for the $2,000 increase then so should a model that had the ER as an option. The dealer does get credits for price protected items on all vehicles. They are automatic and from what I saw normally small in size. I also do not believe they ar passed on to the customer. I would double check with Ford if possible. My guess Is if they do not give you the PP on the battery they will still receive the $1,000 as a credit after the sale has been verified by Ford.

I don’t think you’ll have a chance since the ice white appearance package is only offered on 2022 models and was not available on a 2021 so you could’ve ordered it last year I wish you luck I have one of them on order as well but I ordered after the price increase

That the order was originally for a 2021 doesn't matter. A new order with updated specs for a 2022 replaced the original order and was placed in October before the price increase. Same for every 21 that was converted to a 22.

Not sure what to say. My dealer did what they are supposed to do. They had to call ford marketing with regards to doing the price match and xplan. That delayed me buying the car for a couple of days, but they figured it out.

The question I read is how did you accomplish this:
"put the excitement of the car finally arriving on the side."

Yes that is what Ford raised t the base and option prices. Hence it's different for folks based on options mainly color and extended range battery were significant increases.

For someone with an ER battery as an option there would have been a $1,000 increase to the car and a $1,000 increase to the battery option. Net effect would have been $2,000. The poster was stating, I believe, that the dealer was not going to apply price protection to the $1,000 increase to the ER battery option.

To be honest, in social media, it's much speculation. in my case my MSRP went up by $2000(.) I've seen nothing suggesting they were playing games with line items, except what was one person posted about $1000 and $95.. that was a reach, its basic, overall MSRP increases.

I followed up my Salesman last night. He said, no worries
They will honor the Price Protection when my MME arrives in a few weeks
I was also told that it is now in Nebraska coming to CA

To be honest, in social media, it's much speculation. in my case my MSRP went up by $2000(.) I've seen nothing suggesting they were playing games with line items, except what was one person posted about $1000 and $95.. that was a reach, its basic, overall MSRP increases.

They increased i know in my case Rapid Red option from 400 to 495 hence that 95. The above are large ticket item increase.
