To be honest, in social media, it's much speculation. in my case my MSRP went up by $2000(.) I've seen nothing suggesting they were playing games with line items, except what was one person posted about $1000 and $95.. that was a reach, its basic, overall MSRP increases.

I think we are saying the same thing. The last line item is the MSRP increase to the ER Battery. What the poster stated was that his dealer was not going to apply PP to that increased line item. I was pointing out that it should be and probably is covered by price protection.

They increased i know in my case Rapid Red option from 400 to 495 hence that 95. The above are large ticket item increase.
Wasn't the paint increase on the model year change? The Ford Price protection wouldn't cover that because you're protected for the price when the 2022 order was made. BUT...you should have a $750 credit that more than offsets it and any other model year increase.

Price Protection applies to the total sale price of the vehicle. Don't fall for the dealer games of trying to split it out into things like base price, battery price, etc.

If you ordered the vehicle for $50k, and the window sticker now shows $52k, the dealer will get the $2k from Ford within 45 days of you taking delivery, and they should only charge you the original $50k.

Thanks for this information. I'm having some issues with my dealer. I ordered my Premium RWD on July 31 online myself and added/upgraded to the Ice White appearance package after my order was converted to a '22, order confirmed on 10/19/21. Now the window sticker says $2,000 more than the price on 10/19. The person I was talking to when I put in the order was not the guy I've been dealing with (in internet sales). When I wanted to make my change in October, I'd been trying for weeks and couldn't get the internet sales guy to call me back (someone else ended up handling the change for me after I contacted the dealership GM). The only time I get get the internet sales guy is when I actually go into the dealer. A week ago I went in, he told me my cost would be the (updated) sticker price. When I told him it was my understanding Ford would credit the additional $2k, he said he would "write to his rep" and email me back. Of course, I haven't heard back and he hasn't responded to my emails. When I called Ford Customer Service, they told me the dealer can sell the car to me for anything they want.

Long story short, my question is if there is an official way I can confirm that the dealer will get this $2,000 back?

I'm thinking, at this point, of either making a complaint with Ford and/or writing to the GM.
This may help

Its been painful and the dealer rep relationship manager i met was clear that she locked only base price and Ford will not let me lock anything that that. Albeit she locked the base price at 50300 which is better than 50800 so i get 1500 protection to the price increase. Now they did not budge on Extended battery so she was like its option crap so you need to pay additional 1k and 95$ premium on the optional stuff which i know is wrong. But in the end not great but i have a 750$ coupon from Ford i can use so the delta is about 300$ so not much and they are not charging ADM and giving me A plan so i will move on i presume.

I just ford just came out and gave a letter to us saying you got 2k protection take this and if you take ownership this is tied to you. Else dealer does not get it. Its simple they are making it so messy

the 750 offsets it that is true. But the 1000 $ extended range battery was not there. The increase in base price was 1500 for me and then 1000 on extended and 95 on the paint. The 750 helps lower the burden. But should not complain too much in this market i presume as i am having to pay 300bucks more for a 2022 model year adn no ADM and Employee plan so in end the car costs about 55k

It's just lame that the dealer is being so difficult though. At least they're giving you something so that you're not too much higher than you originally expected to pay. If you're just hitting your head against the wall with them and the battle is no longer worth fighting, just get excited about the car and enjoy! You're still paying less than anyone ordering the same car today.

I would file a complaint with @Ford Motor Company against this dealership, and give them a poor evaluation after the sale. Total bullshit.

So to give hope to people, my dealer gave me no issues with the 1.4% with rebate on the options plan and agreed to the MSRP before price increase. They knocked 2000 off then calculated everything straight away. Signed and I have a DMG GT.

You are correct. You get to choose either the incentives today or the incentive that were in place when you ordered, whichever is better. When the dealer locks the deal in SmartVincent they have the ability to select the incentive date to be either the order date or the sale date.

I haven't been tracking the rates either since I've had my car for a year now. But I think you're right that it's been 1.4% the whole time.
My dealer is saying they don't participate in the Options plan. Am I out of luck?

The dealer cannot be forced to use Ford Options.

But not participating because they don't understand Options is different than saying 'we don't participate' because we're too lazy to do any simple leg work to figure it out or install any small updates that may be needed.

If they are lazy that can't be helped. If they just don't understand that is something that can be helped (DM me).

I'm not sure. Maybe they think I'll walk away and then they can add their ADM when they sell it to someone else.
