I emailed my dealer as my car is being produced this week and got it in writing (via email) that the original price would be honored.

The information on this post helped, I basically copy and pasted it into my email to them and they responded within an hour confirming that this is correct.

Its kinda crazy that it really is depending on the dealership how much hassle they are putting into this.

Its pretty straight forward and from a consumer perspective, you should not have to know all of this. But quite a few dealerships are squeezing the consumer (and Ford) for more profits in a supply crunch. Its maddening.
Maybe I am being to generous here but when my Mach shows up in a week it will be the first car my dealer had to deal with concerning PP and Options Financing. There is not going to be any issues for me but I can see how a dealer who may never have dealt with either of these may take some time to get up to speed. I imagine there may be some dealers who will take advantage of PP and pocket the money.

@nhammerschmidt You seem to have great intel on the price protection process. My dealer keeps telling me they're not seeing my $750 credit in their system (even though I sent them the email I got last fall). Do you know of any particular process they should be following to pull this through? I'm asking for the price protection, X plan, and $750 credit. They're saying they can do the price protection and X plan but can't roll in the $750 per the point above.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

They're saying no matter what they do, the system won't give them the option. They're continuing to look into it, but I know how that usually goes.
the issue here is dealers might be inept but Ford is also not helping much. Their Customer service is pretty useless and say talk to dealer. My dealer promised me price protection and A plan for now and said that any discount they will cover but as you know till i donot get it its immaterial.

They're not denying that. They're saying they $750 isn't in my account with Ford.

Oh look, my dealer doesn't know anything about it either.

I currently do not have a price protection program for the Mach E at this time.
When we order the car we will sell the car for the MSRP that Ford give on the car.
I know at the time of order it is an Est. MSRP and due to the supply shortage Ford has had to change some of the MSRP to get the cars built.
What I can let you know that if the price move too much you do not have to buy the car.
and we as the dealership will not mark the price higher than MSRP on the window sticker.

today is delivery of my car and i am giving my dealer hell and ford too. As they are saying that this certificate cannot be applied to my account as i was using the A plan. this is ridiculous since the certificate states i can use A plan in it. The dealer agrees but said they cannot add it if it does not show up on their system. So they are reaching to Ford but i had them on a conference call with customer service who agreed in principle that i have to use it but the system is not letting it so i have to work with dealer.
Quite pissed off at Ford as they are really not helping as the numbers of the plan they had cannot be used it seemed with A plan.

As an update to my previous post, sent the dealer the bulletin posted here. Looks like I'll find out in June.

I checked into the Ford bulletin you sent me and what we have been told by it is that if your car has been built they are not changing the price and if Ford does any Price protection it will be automatic and we will see it at the time of purchase. But we are not able to lock anything in at this time.

I don't buy the premise the dealers don't know about PP. MME isn't the only model that has experienced price increases. Mavericks, Bronco's and I believe F-150's have had price increases that would qualify for PP. We are lucky that we have Forums like this one so people can share and get the word out. Before I joined I just assumed I'd have to pay the increased price that came about in Dec. That's what the MSRP showed. After being a member and reading post over the last few months it appears that most people are getting price protection. Although some people do have to fight for it. I'm hitting my dealer up and at this point there playing dump acting like they don't know anything about it. I thought ordering on line thru Ford would be a non-negotiable, easy, hassle free process. Now I feel I'm back 30 years and having to argue with my dealer over price again. I think it's primarily the dealer's fault. Ford sent the memo to all dealers on 12-3-2021. It's up to the dealers to read the memo and to honor the price protection as they get reimbursed and are made whole. I'm going to be pissed If my dealer doesn't honor price protection. If they don't I'm going to plaster there name all over this forum and suggest not to do any business with them. Time will tell.

And if they do not honor PP after you pointing everything out then they deserve your wrath. The craziest thing is they get the full cost reimbursed by Ford so why would they not?

Seems to me they want to play dump and keep the money. Anyway they can make a buck they will.

Helpful post! Now that I have a build date I'm trying to wrap my head around the price and prepare for my conversation with my dealership.

Premium ER, AWD, Star White. Ordered Aug. '21, I have the printout (that I printed from ford.com, and I think I signed the same when I went in to the dealership and had them confirm my order) that lists the price as $57,695. Online currently lists the price of my converted to a 2022 car as $59,695.00. (looks like the 4/13 price increase was appropriately not added).

Price protection with the conversion should subtract $2000 and then I should also be eligible for the $750 credit for the model year conversion and $325 for the lack of the park assist?

First off do not be surprised if your window sticker eventually shows the April 13 price increase as your car is not built yet. That being said I think the way you explained your situation is correct on how PP should work in your case except the subtraction would be both the Dec and April price increases (unless the sticker never reflects the latest increase.)
