Has anyone has any issues with their Ford Connected Charge Station in the cold? I have 2 installed on the exterior of our house. Our temps reached single digits (the coldest it has been since either of them were installed) and both gave error codes within 12 hours of each other and are no longer able to charge. I have a call into Ford. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

You would certainly think they would be rated to at least -20F and more likely -40F. I could not find any temperature related specifications. Hopefully the OP will fill us in when (if?) Ford gets back with them. We’re you able to charge your car elsewhere?

What was the error code?
Installation error, please contact your installer. I don’t think they both failed due to installation error. I shut them both off at the breaker yesterday and powered them back on last night. They both now work, but tomorrow is supposed to be -26F with 45 mph winds, so we’ll see. Ford is trying to troubleshoot it. They are “supposed” to be weatherproof.

I shut their breakers off all day yesterday and they worked again when I got home. Ford is working with me on it. I couldn’t find any temp. ratings for them either, only that they are supposed to be weatherproof. It is supposed to be -26F with 40-45mph winds tomorrow, so we’ll see. I’ll post an update.
