Production Delays?

Mine was built on 7-6 and has been sitting since with no updates in Ford’s systems. VINVIEW shows it was probably started and moved on the 23rd, but still in Mexico.

Don't stress, mine was in Mexico for 4 months sitting in a warehouse.

Why Does Ford wait so long to make Specific Orders, when they have More Mach Es than they know what to do with. All dealerships have 8-12 on the lot ready to sell. I just do not get. Can someone explain. And why are you all still waiting. They are on the lots ready to purchase?

I think it depends. For me, I very specifically wanted Route 1 for its higher range. I couldn’t find a single one anywhere within 100 miles that wasn’t already reserved. But I was moments away from just going with a Premium when I got word that ours had finally landed on the east coast.

Agree - it was painful seeing so many dealer inventory while mine took 14 months (chip shortage).

To wait it was a '22 conversion and thus got a PCO, lower APR and incentives at the time of order.

If I could not wait, I'd pick up a dealer's lot inventory MME but would lose out on the lower pricing, lower APR and incentives. Could have paid $53K...

Instead of $53K, I paid a net of $46K on a Premium.
That's why I waited 14 months.

My car has been built since July 5th. It’s still sitting in Mexico. Poor planning on Fords part. Why build more cars than can possibly be shipped. I may just buy one of the six that are in transit to my dealer but I won’t be happy because they aren’t what I ordered.

Same with mine. Seems odd that it's been sitting as "In production" since July 5th.

My wife's has been in production since July 6th and it supposed to be here August 9th somehow.

Knowing how long the rail transit plus the delays at KC, MO rail depot - it's going to take many weeks after they ship from Mexico.

It’s about 3 weeks from Mexico to Iowa once it gets rolling.

Scheduled delivery Aug4-10 for my wife’s. It’s not happening

I just got an update that mine is scheduled for delivery on August 14th but is still not shipped...looks like we'll get them sometime during football season.

My local dealer has two grabber blue premiums on their lot. They refuse to sell for under sticker. I specd out the exact same options on ford.com build and price and showed them it's $10k less with new pricing/rebates. I don't know if Ford won't adjust the price or they think someone wants to pay $10k extra, but after an hour I just said "no thanks" and placed my order online for $10k less. I'm sure by the time it's built there will be even bigger rebates so I'm in no hurry. I guess the answer is "dealers like money"

I suspect they will just ride it out until Ford Discounts them More. They can be had on many lots for 4-6K under MSRP. These are the ones that come with the Charger and 3 years of Blue Cruise, so All is not apples to apples. Ford has made a mess of the pricing. That is not helping them sells cars. AND I will never understand why they don't prioritize the people that actually ordered cars instead sending cars to Dealers first.

“ I see your order status is Awaiting Shipment at Ramp 5C, Envios, EM to be shipped Convoy - Convoy # 230731247 (Consorcio De Servicios Internacionales Sa De Cv ). The order has an estimated delivery date between Sep-01-Sep-07 which is only an estimate.”
My delivery date was Aug7-10 I think.

Are you comparing apples to apple ? Or apples to oranges ?

Dealer lot MME is most likely a Job 1 (higher price) MME w/ BC and mobile charging cords.

Your order is a Job 2 (lower price) 2023.5 missing the BC & charge cord.
