As a trauma nurse, people just don’t realize how many of my patients wouldn’t be my patients if they’d just hit the freakin’ animal. Too many people are left with permanent injuries trying to avoid a minor collision.Thankfully you did the right thing -- you didn't swerve or really try to avoid it. It's a shame to hit an animal in the road but even worse to risk your life to save the animal.
Of I could educate the public on 3 things:
1. Wear your seatbelt. I don’t care about that one guy your cousin knew who survived without his seatbelt.
2. Wear your helmet.
3. Just hit the f’in animal.
