Question on what (if anything) changed? Suggestions?

2021 Job 1, have owned it for 4+ years.

I regularly charge to 85% overnight. (Ford supplied charger @ 110v/1.2Kw. Only occasionally use 220v). Never had a problem until last night... I parked, plugged in the charger, left the setting on its usual 85%, but it charged to 100% (even though app shows 99, in car it was 100%) The slider clearly shows setting at 85%, yet the charger bypassed it.

Should I be doing something different? Is this just a random deviation?

Lucky you can still set your charging amount, I haven't been able to do that or even see my charging history in 2 months.

I read somewhere that Ford recommend You charge the battery to 100% once a month, maby it's some kind of health program that over rules Your settings if You haven't charged to 100% for a long time ?

I have a Google Pixel phone that does that, I set it to 85% but once in awhile it charge to 100% for maintaining the battery.

That is for owners of LFP batteries. Aka 2023.5+ Select and Premium Standard Range vehicles. Does not necessarily apply to NCM batteries (anything with Extended Range), though a periodic trip to 100% isn't a bad idea, it just isn't as necessary.

There’s a thread by @Mach-Lee that gives a step by step for calibrating NCM batteries. It does involve a charge to 100%.

Sorry for the delay, I drove my other car for a few weeks. I charged a few days ago, and it stopped at 85%, so it appears, as others suggested, that it was a recalibration... artifact?
