Raced a Rivian!

Pulled up to a stoplight next to a rivian and I had a feeling he wanted to race...it was close off the line but I pulled away at about 100 feet. I was in whisper mode.

I've got a MME and my best friend has a Rivian. If you pulled away at 100ft it's because they backed off. I love my car. It's fun and fast but the dual motor Rivian has a faster 0-60 even if you are in a GTPE MME.

The MME feels like it should be fast and it is. A pickup truck doesn't feel like it should be fast so when it is, it's FUN!

You raced the dual motor version. Mach-E Premium could keep pace but would lose over time. If it was a quad motor, sadly the driver was toying with you.

My brother has the quad motor Rivian. IT. IS. SCARY. FAST!! So much weight yet it throws you back in the seat and in seconds you're doing 100mph+.

I agree with the others, either they backed off a bit, or wasn't quad motor version as it would smoke a Mach E.

Another possibility is that it wasn't in the Sport drive mode. Rivians have about six or eight drive modes so who knows, it might have been in rock climbing ?

Also your drive mode doesn't matter, if you floor it you get full power regardless.

The quad-motor R1T is stupid fast ... Car & Driver says they tested it at 3.2. Motor Trend says 3.0.
For dual-motor I'm seeing times listed between 3.3 and 3.5.

I call BS!!
I have both, MME GTPE and Rivian R1T launch addition.
Rivian backed off.

MME is fast and sporty fun drive, R1T is a beast. ( it can drive through restaurants walls)

Wow, and to think I thought that racing on the highway was illegal, boy was I wrong. That and pretty sure that it also voids the factory warranty if Ford finds out. But, hey, keep posting that stuff on social media. ???
