I've been having this problem since I received my 2021 MME Premium last Christmas. When listening to the radio (By &O system) at highway speeds, the volume will randomly increase and decrease significantly. I haven't seen this in any other thread but I may have missed it. Has anyone else experienced this?

There is a speed compensated volume adjustment option. But even with that turned on to a fairly high level, I haven't noticed significant, random volume adjustments. (Frankly, I've not noticed any random volume adjustments.)

When you experience this issue, are you seeing the volume bar briefly display on the center screen? I wonder if maybe something is wrong with your volume knob, or the steering wheel volume controls?

I'm not noticing the volume bar when this happens. And it happens while I'm at fairly constant speed. It seems to be an issue when I'm listening to broadcast radio stations but not when I'm streaming from my phone.

Oh. Could it be that your audio is switching between analog FM and HD FM? (HD Radio is hybrid analog/digital.)

There should be an orange HD icon (if I recall correctly) on the radio screen when it's in HD Radio mode.

That's a good thought. But the station I usually listen to and I've had the issue with has a separate HD station so I don't think that's the problem.
I appreciate your help!

It’s the same station. It will automatically switch to the digital stream when you are close enough and have good reception. If the radio station did not set their levels equally between the analog and digital streams, you will notice a volume change when it switches. To troubleshoot, disable HD radio in your settings and see if it still has the issue. Note the setting may revert ON at every key cycle. If HD radio ends up being the issue, contact the broadcast engineer at the radio station, tell them which stream is louder, and ask them to equalize the volume levels. I’ve noticed some HD radio stations that have no idea how messed up the digital stream is, they don’t monitor it always.

That's a possibility. Especially since that's the station I notice the problem with. I'll check into that further.
Thanks again!
