At least your is updating, mine still shows delivery on 11/1.
Ouch, yeah that would have me even more up in arms.

Dealer got another Mach-E in today, one that was supposed to arrive the 19th. It shipped out October 14th, two weeks after mine. Ford says they do not see a factory hold on mine but their Vehicle Reservations team is looking into it further.

So randomly emailed my dealer about the Mach-E they still have in stock and the GM said my car arrived this morning. The order tracker says still in transit. GM also lied about last week saying I randomly showed up and tried to "get a deal" on the Mach-E they have in stock. Yeah no, your salesman agreed to the deal and confirmed it multiple times before I ever left my house, then did a reversal when I arrived. Classic bait and switch.

He said he is aiming for delivery "tomorrow". I found that a bit odd because before, on Nov 11th, they said my car arrived and it would be ready in 4-5 hours. Now its taking over a day? A bit odd but probably don't care about getting it to me.

Not really worried anymore because if they pull some crap I have a Model 3 ready Saturday afternoon.

Great news! Good luck on your purchase process. If you’re doing any type of paint protection, needless to say, get it ceramic coated anywhere but the dealer. Well worth the expense.

My first black car & wish I’d known about it earlier in my car buying life. Dealer did (supposedly) my son‘s car in Montana. They did nothing since the finish doesn’t bead water like it’s supposed to. My Mach-e in Hawaii was done (Resistol) - terrible job. Had to get it paint corrected & ceramic coated elsewhere. Between both cars, that was a $2500 lesson learned.

Wonder what kind of extras they’re going to try to hard sell you?

Bring a friend for support. Preferably one that belongs to an outlaw biker gang!

Thinking of bringing my brother, he is good friends with the owners (saved their life actually). I wouldn't ever get any extras provided by the dealer. Not even going to ask about the free connect charger.
I know a great local shop that does ceramic coats. Its $1800 for their best(and lifetime warranty).

Ordered 6/29
Built 9/11
Delivered to Norfolk Southern on 9/22 (according to PalsApp)
Delivery date keeps getting pushed by Ford every week. Currently saying 11/26 but I have zero faith in that.
Shipping to Utah dealer (not SoCal)

Our dealer is a friend and he has been as helpful as possible but he is not seeing any other details in VVR.

Good luck to all of you on getting a delivery!

Sorry - meant to respond. Had surgery a week ago & trying to grit my teeth through recovery without resorting to the Oxys. Made it past the worst, so I’m good now.

So, did you pick up the car & if so, any drama?
Not sure what charger you’re referring to - I got nothing extra, but it did come equipped with 2 chargers (standard plug/240 kw). Was there something else? Doesn’t matter - I got screwed regardless.

Still no word (& no response to calls to the dealer) re: my friends order. Ford says delivered to dealer, but it’s supposedly on factory hold at the rail yard (in Montana) with no explanation. At this point I’m just curious as to why. She’s starting to get cold feet. I told her she should just start an order for a 2022. We’re a little leery driving in snow since we never have. I feel bad since I steered her in this direction & with this dealer. So many EV’s are coming out, so choices are a lot more varied. She hanging at a friend’s place in Washington, then Vegas until the New Year, so she may be staged to pick it up if it becomes available. Bummer for me though.

Hope you’re loving your car!!

My friend’s car has exact build date as yours & still no delivery or word as to why - just factory hold. Hers is being held at Laurel yard (in Billings) with final destination to Bozeman. Ford locater says it’s delivered to dealer, but they don’t have it. Have you gotten any new info? Funny, other MME’s have gone out.

Did you get yours yet? My friend just got word that hers is now at the dealership in Bozeman. Don’t know what the hold-up was. Did you find out? Just waiting to hear from her what her decision is.

Since my car, according to my sales rep is also on hold at the rail yard in Ayer, MA since 11/29:
"We reached out to Ford and here is the update: The reason this unit got pushed back until January is because it is on a stop hold for a quality inspection. I will get it hot tagged, but they will not do anything with it until released from the hold.”

I'm now wondering if the timing for my car will be similar to your friend's. I did as them to get it tagged as 'hot,' but I'm not sure if that will actually speed things up.

@MissyBenita how many days did your friend's car sit in the rail yard before it made it to the dealer?

According to the Pals App, it was delivered on Sept. 27 to the Argentine ramp in Kansas City. Her build date was Sept. 11. From there we couldn't track it, but she got word from Ford that it was delivered to the dealer & was no longer trackable. Dealer in Bozeman said that they didn't have it, but that it was physically at the Laurel rail yard in Billings & won't release it to the dealer. She also got a Ford notification that there is a chip hold for 6 weeks. According to the VVR report, it was on a factory hold for a quality control check, but no reason why.

I checked for recall info on her VIN - nothing. Found a Technical Service Bulletin re: various SYNC4 concerns (screen freezing, etc.) that was released on Oct. 11 & this is totally speculative on my part, but putting the different pieces of info together by others, I'm thinking that a Ford team made their rounds to the various locations of the Mach-E (& F-150's) to perform updates. I'm guessing they didn't want brand new build cars going out with like that. I'm sure there are different scenarios, but that's what I came up with.

She got a call from the dealer on Monday telling her the car is there & ready to pick up. Waaay later than originally promised, even later than the delay dates given. She's on a trip to Las Vegas & I'm flying there from Hawaii tomorrow & we'll head to Bozeman this weekend. Hopefully, no more glitches & we'll drive it to Long Beach to put on a ship. She was just about to give up & cancel & order a 2022.

This has been a massive mystery that is not inspiring confidence in customer communications. That would have made it easier. I can understand things better if I now why.

By the way, the car is waiting a bit in Vegas before her journey home. Does anyone know of a REALLY good ceramic coating company in the area?

Thanks…I was never notified of a chip hold, so I’m curious if I’ll ever really find out why the delay with mine. I’m on the east coast, so can’t help with a ceramic coated! :)

I also just heard from my dealer that my GT has been sitting at the Ayer station. Hopefully there are enough queued up there that whatever Ford technician is needed will actually show up, run the tests, and release our vehicles for delivery.

Within minutes of me getting off the phone the hold on my car was released and the vehicle appeared with pendingpickup status. That's too much of a coincidence given that it had been 25 days since any update. My guess is that the hold was real and that if a dealer is equipped to test or remedy the problem that they can release the hold and accept delivery.
