Random "Your Backup Start Passcode was used" message

Just got this message via email and in the FordPass app, but I didn't attempt to start the car with the passcode. In fact, I haven't been near the car and it's plugged in and not running.

Sounds like software bugs on Ford's side.

They are supposed to fly around the ethossphere and deliver updates to our e ponies

Unfortunately most of them are addicted to JagerMeister mixed with morning frost. Thus OTA deliveries suffer and sometimes look wacky

I also received two such messages earlier this morning. I was a little concerned about the mystery, but not any more now that I learned that multiple people got that message this morning.

I got 4 of these within a minute this morning.

I got a couple of them last week. A day after I received these messages, I couldn't use the backup start code to start the car. Car kept complaining about not finding the key and wouldn't show the option to enter the code. Not sure if it is related to the messages received and if it had reset the settings since I haven't tried it after that. Worth checking if the passcode still works

I was getting about 6 of them all at the same time. I got a batch of them I think 3 or 4 times during the day. I forget what day it was, but it was last week sometime. Luckily I was home and looking at my car. I might had freaked out if I was out and about.
