Better be careful, they might have jacked it up too far on one side and spilled some of the electrons.
Naah, probably flooded the evaporative baffle with electrons, limiting the pickup level. A few WOT blasts and some hard cornering might fix that. ??

tire changed at costco at 42k miles. but realize the efficiency and range droped noticable. used to be 260-280 miles range and dropped to 220 miles. for same driving daily, the average miles per kwh dropped from 4.4 to 4.1 or lower. did I selected wrong tire or battery pack can be damaged by costco during tire replacement?
Here's what Michelin says on their tire page
Tire tread also impacts range. You should have the tread of your tires periodically inspected for safety reasons, but it is also helpful to understand how tread depth relates to rolling resistance and range. As tires wear down, rolling resistance decreases. Some studies show that a worn tire is about 6 percent better for range compared to a new tire. In fact, it is even normal to experience a range decrease just after installing new tires.
4.4 -6% would be 4.1 so it kinda tracks.

Has anything about your driving habits changed? Is your average route now more freeway miles than before? From my perspective, 4.1 mi/KWh doesn’t seem bad since I average about 2.6. As was said before, brand-new tires will tend to get a little worse efficiency than slightly used ones, so monitor your performance over a period of time. ??

As to the question of whether you bought the wrong tires, nobody can tell you that without knowing what tires you got, how they’re inflated, and exactly what you expect out of the tires. ?‍♂?

Ya think resetting his driving history might bring his data more in line with his current situation and take into account the new parameter (different tires ) ?

So you went to Costco, check your tire pressure and torque of the lug nuts. Actually any garage you go to now days doesn't keep good trained workers because of the low pay scale. I don’t even trust the ford garage , defiantly empty your vehicle of all valuables , charger, adapters and tire kit !

New tires are always "stickier" until they break in. Range will be diminished for the first 1k miles or so.

If anything, resetting the driving history should make the average efficiency numbers look worse since it’s the current driving history that’s looking bad. The average efficiency is being propped up by past history (even though recent history is weighted in that calculation). ?‍♂?

I am thinking that he just needs to make sure tire pressures are correct and break in the tires to start. Not knowing whether he got super-efficient EV tires or some no-name likely inefficient tire is a huge factor here though. ??

Did Costco pull any old tire off the shelf or one rated for EVs. MachE’s weigh between 4000 and 5000 lbs.

Do you blame him ? We can be dicks on here .
In fairness, he dropped that post and couldn't even be bothered to tell us which tires he put on his vehicle. There is thread after thread on this site talking about range loss after getting new tires. OP struck me as somebody having a bit of tantrum more than somebody seeking assistance.

Too many letters after the “D” to describe me. Although I do show my teeth on occasion. ??

I swapped out my tires for some Nitto Motivo 365's and my range is down quite a bit. I swapped out about 5 weeks ago. I'm hopeful it will get better soon.
