I took my MME to the dealer for the fix, which was covered by the warranty, although the invoice says it cost them $918.22 in labor. Apparently, it took 4.63 hours to diagnose and apply the update?
It doesn't look like they replaced the center console, just updated the firmware and reset it. I had to set up everything again as if the car was brand new. Even the one-pedal needed to be set up. The dealership of course just handed me the key and told me nothing.
