Thanks, I’ve looked into that, but decided against it for two reasons.
1. Sinaloa is no bueno and
2. the ferry ride is long and no fun either.
I think I’ve gained enough testimony’s here that I think I will try it with an extended range MMe.

I would say that's more of a historical conversation and a political one, although an odd one for a discussion in an American EV car forum. Germany, indeed, did not start WWI. A Serbian assassinated the Austria-Hungary heir to the throne. Unfortunately, Germany got pulled into the war as an ally of AH, and then had most of blame for the war thrust on its shoulders because France had a very strong sway in the Allies view of the war, and France and Germany had been bitter rivals for centuries. Now, German did start WWII in Europe (although the argument could be made that how it was treated after WWI was the direct cause of that specific political party's rise to power).
The question swings around to: every single person who started WWII, in Europe and in Asia, have been dead for a long time now. Why would anyone in 2026 would be poo-pooing German or Japanese car companies (or, well anything specifically) because of a war that ended 80 years ago and those countries are now allies?

In some ways you're right as well, I intentionally bought the Mach-E since it was not built in the US.

I must admit, I'm happy to see a more reasonable approach from most of the posters in here. Very few of the "Oh I'm getting 4.5 mi/kwh consistently" posts.

That would be crazy! The Mach-E can't even display 4.5 miles per kWh! 4.1 sure... 4.4 sure... 4.8 yep. But not 4.5.

I drove 206 miles today and averaged 4.4 miles per kWh. AC blasting in the 95º+ weather. But mostly in town... Driving for Uber.

In Texas our speed limits are 70-75…our range data ain’t the same. I plan to charge at 200 miles (if I recall correctly)

I get 18.9 kWh/100 km (Battery kWh) with a rated 91kWh battery. That is a mix of freeway and city driving.
