Rear back up camera no display

The rear back up camera has recently stopped display on the center screen.

When reversing the car, the center screen changes to the back-up page as normal but the bottom half that should show the camera image is black.

Has anyone else seen this?

Reboot Sync just in case. Otherwise, your camera or wiring has failed and you probably need to get it fixed. Does the 360 view also show black for the rear?

I was able to bring back the rear view with a Sync reboot & full car shut down.

However, it has since happened again. I suspect that it's related to Android Auto, which has also completely stopped working. Trying to start Android Auto, either through Bluetooth or USB, after enough failed attempts, will eventually also break the rear camera view.

Fortunately, a Sync reboot & full shut down will 9/10 times fix the rear camera view fail.

What remains to be solved is Android Auto and why it has suddenly completely quit. I suspect it's related to an Android Auto update received last week.
