Rear windows don't roll all the way down.

Hi All, did a quick search to no avail, the rear door windows (back seat, not hatch) on my '23 GT don't go down all the way. Whether by the auto-down or manually pressing, they both stop about 2-2.5" from the bottom. Maybe it's normal, and it's far from a major problem, but seems odd. I'll be bringing it in here soon to have the old "Powertrain/AWD fault" message investigated and I'll have them look at this, too, unless that's how they're supposed to work. They've been that way since day one (june 2024), bought it brand new from the courtesy vehicle program.

That’s how they are. IIRC there was a reason for this, I just no longer recall what it was.

I've personally never owned any car where the rear windows went all the way down. I've always assumed the mechanism can't fit due to the door needing to accommodate the rear wheel.

At one time, rear windows were limited in how far they "rolled" down as a safety feature (so people couldn't jump out of them.)

Well in my defense:
1. I live upcountry. It's more like Santa Barbara in mid-spring.
2. Detached garage. It's 22 feet from the main house and I'd have to brave our brutally mild summer morning.

Tough work but someone has to do it.

The rear doors have a curve in them for the rear wheel well. The window cannot go any lower due to that. ??

Most of my cars had no rear windows, being coupes (exceptions: Coupe de Ville, Celicas), so most of my automotive experience doesn’t include rear windows. ??
