I am missing the point.
I want the HVBJB replaced with a functional part.
I want to be able to use/drive my MME. Without constant worry. On long trips. Whenever I wish.
I have no desire for a booby prize if and when the HVBJB is replaced.
The problem with the MME HVBJB is known throughout the entire industry: all Ford dealerships, media , car buying companies and government regulatory agencies.
Ford dealerships are using this as a weapon in their war against Ford. (Try talking w/ a service rep. or attempting to get it replaced w/o total failure).
No one in the industry will buy or accept your MME as a trade-in. (too many unresolved problems)
Ford obviously has much more clout than we think.
A known defective part whose failure results in an unusable vehicle w/o a recall?

We like the vehicle. Do not want to make waves. Some of us still own Ford stock.
Dilemma. Delusion. What to do?

Nobody's having a problem selling/trading in a MME. That was the Bolt - you weren't even allowed to park it anywhere.

And there is a recall... I see the MME recall like any other car that has ever had an engine/transmission recall. In the off chance that it goes kaput, they put a new one in. We still don't even know how prevalent it is. That's a lot better than the potential fireball I used to have in my garage.

Basically: windshield repair and replacement for a year, wheel care for a year, paint protection package, windshield and dent repair for a year and I think just dents for a year.

Then it asked what car services you'd like as compensation: BC for a year, Sirius XM for a year, in car WiFi.

Other compensation: EV charging credits, hotel gift card, tech gift card, restaurant gift card.

Accessories compensation: floor mats, full interior and exterior detail, work on dents to blend/get rid of them (something weird like that ), car wash sub for 1 year.

That's off memory, I think I'm missing one or two from each category, but that's the gist of it. Then it asks you to rank all the categories. Each one also asks if you'd add anything else.
I would forego all of the above for one of these two things:

10 seconds of full power

or

An honest answer if they’re ever going to increase the limit and the exact horsepower drop when off boost. Along with a public apology for the above.

We also own a Bolt.
Statement about Bolt is completely false. Never prohibited from parking anywhere, anytime. Insignificant number of Bolts affected by actual assembly mistake. Obviously no risk. GOT A NEW BATTERY, 10% larger than original, which translated to 20,000+ miles of free life and much greater range (greater than MME Premium 4X). There is no comparison, GM to Ford. As much as I hate to admit it, GM is well ahead in the EV game, although not surprising, considering their experienced advantage.
Best case for MME : $43,000. No HVBJB replacement: no deal. You might find a dealer who will circumvent SOP after they take possession and get the HVBJB replaced at a profit, by Ford....
There is NO RECALL on the HVBJB. No attempt by Ford to replace HVBJB - just visit any dealer and try to get it replaced w/o failure flag.
Unfortunately, GM is leaving Ford in the dust.

I’d like a 10 year warranty on the battery and power electronics including the HVJB. Also an actual answer. On how the E power train supervising engineer, singed off on the negligence of not realizing that thermal dynamics is actually a thing at 1000 amps. ?‍♂

As far as insignificant number affected: the Bolt went through the exact same period of uncertainty. That's exactly where we are with the MME (as far as we know). And in reality, all Bolts were affected - that's why every single one is getting their batteries replaced. Luckily, only some of them actually caught fire. It was luck of the draw. And for two years nobody really knew who had affected batteries, what caused the fires, or where/when/how it could happen.

So yes, everything considered, "GM is well ahead in the EV game" - because they released the Bolt 4 years ahead of the MME... But no Chevy dealer would've given you a free battery "just cause" in the first two years of the recall. Why would you expect Ford to?

All that said, I wasn't even that concerned about the chances of a Bolt fire and I charged it to full every night, because I needed to. I went through with the buyback because my garage was underneath my nursery. But I would much rather wait for a tow truck than a fire truck.

I would add, as having also lived through this, that GM was denying this issue was a risk in new vehicles, for example when I bought my 2020 Bolt I was supposedly "in the clear" then a year later they admit, yeah yours might also catch fire...

We sold our Volt. We received $3,500 more than original offer. Did not trade it in.
Some trepidation here. Thought seriously about keeping it. We have a three car garage. Storage . Maintenance.
Wanted to save space for next EV - bidirectional.

The % of Bolts affected was miniscule. NOT ALL Bolts were affected. If they were, you would have seen a huge number of burning Bolts, regardless of any "temporary fix" and all of them would have been dead-lined. GM was able to easily wait. GM was able to hedge their bets using original built in inflated sales price. Purchased time to figure out best (for GM) solution.
Never a worry with the Bolt.
Of course, no dealer is going to "give" any sucker anything.
The MME defect affects a many times greater % of vehicles. Constant worry.

Never owned a "Vega" or anything "diesel". With only two short term (used car) exceptions, only owned 30mpg+ uncool vehicles (VW bugs, Prius', Toyota 1ton Light Truck, etc.) for 50 years. Put that in your pipe.
Do not presume so much.

I let them know that instead of giving me a gift card, I would like them to spend the money testing their cars before releasing them, training and fixing up their dealers so that their experience and appearance isn't from 1982, and finally, to not resort to the "fail to fix" tactics. All of these areas create an experience hostile to owners, and do far more damage to loyalty than a crappy gift card can overcome.

Could this be a sign that a big recall will be announced in the near future? MY23 will be built soon. I can only hope that most of the potential problems have been addressed and ready for batches.

All Bolts were affected - it was a manufacturing defect. That's why every single one is recalled and they're spending almost $2 billion to replace every single one. As I said, we were lucky in that only a dozen or two manifested. Unless they do a teardown of every battery and confirm which ones had defects, you can't say the percentage was miniscule. In comparison what's the number you're using for the % of affected MMEs or is it based on forum self-reporting?

GM hedging their bets was the reason I left the brand. It was a potential fire hazard and they took their time releasing multiple "fixes" before the final fix. Meanwhile we're not even 2 years since the first MME rolled off the line, let alone the recall. So if you were so patient with GM, what's your rush/worry about Ford?

You say "Of course, no dealer is going to 'give' any sucker anything" but then why did you bring it up as a knock on Ford? I wasn't really worried about the Bolt but I was worried enough to get rid of it when I had the chance. I'm much less worried about the MME. Again, I'd rather wait for a tow truck than a fire truck.
