Recent news does not appear top have slowed down production (?)

Just got an email saying production date is July 11th, and now have a vin.

What news? If you mean the software recall no reason for that to slow down production, only cars built up through 5/24.

As I understand it on may 25th they started putting the updated software on cars at the plant. The holdup is for cars that were built before then and are still in the shipping/delivery pipeline. Those cars will have to be updated at dealerships prior to delivery, and are thus delayed.

I got my buld week of July 11th email today too. So maybe I see it the last of August. Glad Ford stepped up and acknowledged an issue and fixed it. Tesla is still having their customers as beta testers on their autonomous driving solution and they pay $10,000 extra for the privilege. My last Ford was the 1966 shelby. I think this one is better.
