It's on the to-do list, somewhere around frunk button functionality
Oh, it’s much higher than frunk button! It’s almost on a par with “make FordPass rewards useful”. (Or whatever the useless credit card points are called.)

The more I read this forum. I wonder if any of you people actually drive your car or if you just try to mess it up and screw with it. Ford service advisors must love you folks.

why you wanna mess with the cars functional unit by doing some thing you can do on a ninety nine dollar tablet way better.

This reminds me of the Star Trek next generation episode when they gave Commander data emotions and you know what happened next

?

Maybe you can buy the frunk button with them...

Too soon? ?
Wouldn’t that be annoying - like Ford shipping cars without features due to “the chip shortage”, then telling you that the feature can be purchased from Ford parts and installed as a dealer installed accessory ?

In all seriousness, I'm so glad that Ford hasn't tried to pull any of that crap yet! Like BMW charging for heated seats, or Toyota for key fob based remote start.... I'm perfectly fine with subscription costs as long as they are tied to ongoing services that cost money. Not already installed hardware.

End rant

mpshizzle The Verge has discovered BMW is charging for heated seats ($18 a month) and steering wheels ($12 a month) now outside of US.

No cooled seats in our Mach Es is better than getting charged for automatic high beams I guess.
