Hi,

Around 60-70 km/h, in one pedal drive, I often get a ton of pulsation from regenerative braking. The local dealer has replaced the brake pads once and machined the rotors multiple times. Still occurring, has anyone had this as an issue? Due to the speed, I would think the brakes wouldn't be involved and the pulsation is coming from the regenerative braking itself?

Anyone else have their glass roof crack? We had a very minor rock cause a massive crack, very expensive to replace.

Thanks,

Put in neutral while at speed and brake with brake pedal. If there are issues with the friction brakes you will notice. In 1PD the friction brakes are generally not involved and dealer is probably trying to fix the issue based on not understanding how the system works.

If there are no issues in this test the problem is not with discs or pads at all.

Do you also get the same reaction in 2pd at the same speeds? Also, and I am not sure this matters, what is your SOC when this occurs and outside temps? I just wonder if the issue may be inability to perform regen operation.

By “regenerative braking in 1PD, I presume you’re not touching the brake pedal, correct? If so, all that brake work was a waste. They don’t get used in this scenario.

Could you describe in more detail? In what scenarios do you feel it, what does it feel like, how does it compare to ABS brake pulsing if you've ever experienced that, does it completely go away with 1PD off, have you tried different drive modes, etc.

I personally feel a very mild vibration of the brake pedal in one pedal mode (unbridled) when I'm braking using the brake pedal to stop a little faster than max regenerative braking by itself. I don't feel it when braking in neutral, so it doesn't appear to be the brakes themselves. It also doesn't compare at all to ABS brake pulsing, what I feel is much milder but still noticeable.

At higher speeds, I tried regenerative braking and no pulsation. Put in neutral, at high speeds, used brake for slowing down and pulsation. The dealer has changed pads and machined the rotor twice, but still seems to be a brake issue.

My car does the same thing… my car also keeps eating the rotors. It’s seems to catch and vibrate right when I drive it in the morning and once the engine warms up I guess it stops doing it. When I spoke with Ford. It enough people have complained about the issues for Ford to look into it.
Did you have any solutions yet?

Yes. Cost $1700 minus comprehensive deductible.
