Hello,

I live in Sweden and it starts getting colder and colder.. Couple of questions:

Regarding the remote start - I know that the auto temperature is 22 degree Celsius, but what about the "auto" setting for the seats and steering wheel? Does it activates automatically when it's cold outside?

Also, when I set the remote start climate on "auto", does it blast the car with heat? (I have the time set to 15 minutes). Or do you recommend have it set to "last settings" if I'm worried about the car not getting warm enough?

The windshield defroster, does it activates when I have the settings set to "auto" on the remote start?

And what settings do you recommend during the winter? Is the E-Heat optimal during cold weather, or do you use the AC during winter?
Currently I always use the auto setting on the first or second bar.

I'd be very happy if I could get some answers! :)

I have it at auto not last setting. It has been going on max seat and steering wheel on when I get in.

It has been defrosted and warm when I get in but did the defroster go on ?‍♂ ? You can extend the time in your app. If 15 minutes is not long enough extent it.

E-heat reset to default a lot for me last winter. It has not been cold long enough to know if it still does. Does not like recirculate when cold. Auto resets it.

I was unaware there was a setting to control the remote temp. I assumed it went to the last setting. I will have to find that in the menu. I did notice a few times my seat and steering wheel would turn on with the automatic cabin preconditioning. When I looked the temp I had set for the previous day was 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Not sure if that triggered it or just software glitch as there are a few with this car. **I really wish the App could control the temp in the car as during spring and fall the temps can be wildly different from returning in the evening from work and leaving the next morning.

A quick warning about remote start... You can only remote start with the app, which is a problem since the car goes to sleep within a few minutes of parking and will not respond.

The exceptions to this are:
1) PAAK is turned on and you are within range
2) The car is actively charging (I've even had mine go to sleep when plugged in once it reached the charge limit)

Thank you, but is the AC even necessary during the winter? What’s the difference between AC and E-Heat?

And how do you change the minutes in the app?

That has not been my experience. I have remote started many times while my car was sitting in a parking lot for hours, even days in the airport parking garage.

AC even necessary during the winter? - yes, AC is basically just a dehumidifier, if you turn it off your cabin can fog up.

What’s the difference between AC and E-Heat? AC dehumidifies and make the air colder. E-heat is an electric heater to provide warm air (there's no combustion engine to syphon heat from like ICE vehicles do)

change the minutes in the app? Once the vehicle is started there is a button on the top of the phone screen "Extend" which will keep the remote start going for longer than 15 minutes.

Same here. My car goes to sleep fairly quick but remote starting does seem to wake it up easily enough. Some cars behave differently than others. We have seen a variety of behaviors across this board.

It's it fun to have a car with a personality?

Extend remote is both in the app and in sync settings in the car. In the app once you remote start it gives to a popup up on top that if tapped you can extend (limited time offer). In the vehicle settings you can change it to always extend to what you set it to.

I have had no problems with remote start just hit it twice.

Do you have to set up PAAK in order to have the “window up” ”window down” and the “trunk” buttons? I also do not see “Bluetooth connected” on my app. Are you in the car when taking this screenshot? I am on 3.32.0. Thanks.

All of those things you are missing are part of PAAK
