I love the remote start feature on these very hot days but have noticed something that seems like a bug (or is it a feature?). I have the car set to move the seat back for easier exit and entry. And I’ve saved my seat settings in memory button 1 which is associated with my key FOB (I have PAAK set up but carry the FOB with me). If don’t remote start, the driver’s seat moves to the correct position when I sit down, depress the brake and hit the start button. But it doesn’t move if I’ve remote started and then get in and do that same sequence. I have to manually hit that memory button to get the seat to move to the correct position. Not a big deal but I was curious if this is just something I have to live with or am I missing something.

Yes this happens to me every time. When I use remote start it switches to the guest profile, it also loses one pedal driving. As soon as I switch it back to my profile everything moves back to normal

Do you have your phone linked to your profile on the car? You can assign the key fob and your phone to your profile under profiles.

I have those linked.
@Dafstang, how do you select your profile? Do you just hit the memory button or do you go into settings somehow?

Several old threads on this. That’s how it works (doesn’t work ?). The car sees a remote start as anonymous and doesn’t know what profile to load. Once you get in the car, it will load your profile (at least mine does) but the seats won’t position because (my speculation) that is an event that happens only on startup.

Interesting, thanks. Does that mean that if the time expires for the remote start (mine is set to 15 min) and it shuts off, the seat would then position itself as it would had there been no remote start?

Have not tried that, but I’d think so. Once it times out, I would expect it to behave as if remote start never happened.

Update: after using remote start quite often over the past month I've come to the conclusion that there seems to be no clear pattern for whether the seat memory will work when I hit start. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I go back and forth between using the FOB and using only PAAK and I do get the sense that with PAAK, it always moves the seat to the memory location when I hit start while the car is still in its remote start phase (well I guess that is a pattern...).

But here's something odd: the other day I remote started, then used FP to open the frunk (sorry, don't mean to rub it in) and the car shut off and wouldn't recognize either the phone or FOB to unlock. I had to manually unlock the doors with the FOB. It started just fine. Anyone seen that before?
