Remote start and unrequested navigation

I'm running into a strange problem with remote start and navigation. Sometimes when I remote start my vehicle, after getting in and hitting the start button, the care begins giving me directions. The navigation is coming from the built in system (not google maps via android auto). I don't even know where it is directing me to. To shut it up I have to access the built in navigation and cancel the route.

Anyone else seeing this? Is there a fix or is there something I'm doing to cause this?

This has happened to me a couple of times as well, once with Android Auto and once with the built in system. I navigated somewhere using Android Auto (connected wirelessly to the car), arrived, turned off the car. Got back in to drive home, but unprompted the navigation (once Android, once built in system) popped up and tried to drive me - once was back to the original destination, another time to a random search I had done before but not actually navigated to. Hasn't happened for a month or so.

It might be one of your "suggested routes," I think it is called. If you go to nav and then find the settings, you can turn off some of the stuff in there that might be causing it.

Yup as stated above it seems to be turning on suggested routes - you can see if its on in the settings and turn it and see if that solves it.

Its happened to me a few times and I had mine suggested routes turned off. If you open the Ford Navigation and go to tools area on the nav screen its in there I believe. you will find alot of other things like weather and can shut off notifications.
