If I Remote Start using Ford Pass, while NOT connected to a charger, can I control the air conditioning temp and fan setting? I just want to get the A/C up and running before I leave work, without being hooked up to a charger, and with no departure time. Thanks.

You can’t control it on the fly, but you can set it in the car. I don’t recall the exact choices, but I have mine set so that the HVAC is set to what it was when I turned off the car.

It starts the car with whatever settings were used the last time the car was running. You have no control with the FP app. On some days I had to switch off heat and turn on A/C before shutting down or I would get back to a car with the heat on with an outside air temperature of 98F. ??

Ok thanks for the replies. I will set the A/C before getting out of the car in the morning.

On the Sync screen you can choose between "Auto" and "Last Settings". If you live in an area with wide temperature swings I would go with Auto. That way you don't have to remember to change anything when you get out of the car.

This is also a good way to always have the circulation button selected. It will remember your last setting unlike when you just start the car normally. Make it make sense

Is auto setting just fort the fan speed in MME or does it actually automatically set the temp based on outside temp?

It amazes me how many people adjust anything other than the temperature in cars anymore. Do you guys do the same at home? What's the point of having anything "smart" if you just manually change it all the time... So confused.

Anyway... To add to the remote start thing. At least in auto, the fans will go full speed on remote start to ensure the cabin gets to the previous temperature ASAP. When you get in and start it, fans will adjust down. I use this feature every day.

It does not automatically set the temp. It will automatically switch between heat and cool to maintain the temp you set.

From the Owner's Manual.

Some have control issues. But then again, so does FordPass... ?

LOL i prefer A/C off whenever I can. My Blazer doesn’t have A/C and I removed it from my T/A. Just my own weirdness. ??

What? I set my temperature, usually around 75, then the Auto setting and in over 100 degree weather, I have never gotten in to heat blasting. You can leave the e-heat on as this setting is for when there is not enough heat coming from the battery to heat the cabin to the desired temperature setting.,
