Make sure you have the climate for remote start set to Auto. If you have it set to use the last setting, it won't heat the car unless you left the heat on the last time you drove it.

Auto was never an option for departure times. In the Sync screen Remote Start settings menu you select "Last Settings" or Auto.

The cabin settings for remote start and precondition are different.

I suppose it provides flexibility, but for my use cases, they could share the setting.

Even if it was set to "last used", heating should still work during remote start if the heat was left one when the car was last driven. Make sure it's set to Auto and try another remote start. If heat still isn't working, I think you've got some other problem.
