Another problem the virus is causing. We are just stuck with this sorrow at thisOnce again to put things in perspective, here's what Betsy McCaughey, Lt. Gov of N.Y. and Chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths said:
“Every 1 percent hike in the unemployment rate will likely produce a 3.3 percent increase in drug-overdose deaths and a 0.99 percent increase in suicides, according to data from the National Bureau of Economic Research and the medical journal Lancet.”
Someone should do the math to compare that death rate with that of the virus. I don't have the current stats on OD deaths & suicides, but it shouldn't be too tough to find.
time. Drug OD's will never go away. See what they are spending their unemployment
on ? Either pay bills and buy food. NOT DRUGS !!
