My particular experience is backing up a slope, it's jarring because the vehicle should want to "roll" forward, but even when pressing the accelerator once in D it's actively moving in reverse. Neutral rolls as expected, but interestingly even going to D after N first the accelerator still moves the car in reverse - only going back to P seems to "reset" things. Haven't tested it facing the other direction. Will mention PCM to the dealership while they have it.

I'm on SYNC 4.0.23031
Update 4.2.2 power up updated Sync 4 to 23031.713. Did you recieve power up 3.6.2 as that has a PCM update. I was stuck on 3.6.1 and never got it but all modules were updated at the dealers. link

Yes, I believe I received 3.6.2 in Jan/Feb, I am on currently on 4.2.4.

Someone that can see more info can tell you if their was a PCM update after that. There is a thread here than may help. link

You are sure it is not this.

Stuff like that has happened to me several times. In my case, either I rotated the dial the wrong way or not enough because I would look at the display and lights on the dial to find an unexpected setting. D when I was trying for R or vice-versa. Sometimes I end up in N by accident and occasionally I throw it into P instead of D when I finish backing up.

That dial confuses me sometimes.

The bug seemed to prevent forward torque output when rolling backwards down a >5% grade faster than 5 MPH. Being in drive would have the same effect as 1PD because forward torque would be commanded in both situations.

Either way, if the PCM is not fully updated that should be done first and the vehicle re-tested on an incline.
Do you think TSB 21-2405 would fix some of the issues described above?
