My wife knows to keep quiet when I'm negotiating junctions, roundabouts etc. She is a very good co-pilot in fact. I always miss her if I happen to be driving alone. (Usually supermarket shopping as she HATES supermarket shopping).

I’ve been back in the market for a MME and came across some folks saying they’ve been harassed because they have a MME. I’m not sure if that’s a one off situation or happens frequently enough to be noticeable.
I love the car but I also love being anonymous/incognito. On that note, I also will be sharing this car with my wife and daughter at times and definitely want to keep them from feeling uncomfortable while driving.

How have you guys felt in your MME ownership? Have you noticed an increase in unpleasant run-ins since you’ve switched to a MME?
So I’ve been driving an MME since my first in ‘21(premium) and I’m a volunteer firefighter. I’ve been getting ribbed for it ever since. They call me Dr. Lithium. But in the fire service, if they don’t bust your chops they it means that they really don’t like you, so I take the ribbing as an extreme compliment because deep down I think they are all jealous! When I got the ‘25 black GT it turned some heads. I think they are now intrigued…somewhat😉. They keep asking if they can practice vehicle extraction or do a live burn drill with my car, so maybe that’s what it is! Lastly, we have a nozzle that is used for EV fires, and it’s been mounted on one of the rigs and named after me. Like I said, they must like me

I’ve only ever encountered compliments and questions.

I found this to be one of the funniest and heartwarming stories I’ve read all week. Love the nickname. Thanks for sharing and for your service!

I haven’t experienced this in a very long time here. I had it happen a couple of times in the first year I owned the car, but nothing since. One coal roller Dodge Ram when the car was maybe a month old, who, unfortunately for him, did it in plain sight of an HPD car in an opposite side of the highway speed trap. That didn’t end well for the Ram. Another was a Charger driving aggressively and trying to run me off the road. He was so obsessed he blew through a stop light that had been red for a long time. Also right in front of a Hawaii County Police car.
Funny, always seems to be a Dodge driver for me too. Chargers are always revving hard at stop lights. One time there was a Charger, a Model Y and myself at a stoplight. The guy in the Charger was being a moron. Blipping the throttle, popping off his brakes to make the car lunge at the stoplight. I guess he thought he was in Fast and the Furious (BTW, he was wearing mirrored Aviators). I looked at the guy in the Tesla and he smiled at me. When the light turned green, we punched it and left the guy trying to catch up. The Charger immediately turned off on a side road (he had to cross both of our lanes behind us to do it). When we got to the next light a Harley pulled up, he looked at us...applauded, laughed and then road off.

But no, no hate. I do get asked if I think it is a Mustang and I say it is a Mach-e that got its good looks from a Mustang.

Treat her, spice up your marital life, have a change from Spondon Asda, take her to Tesco at Chilwell, you’ll both never look back, could be the beginnings of a new, adventurous and exciting life together😁

I’ve had my MME since Dec ‘25 and nothing but compliments…”nice colour”, “that’s very cool”, “is it quick?”…I’m in the process of selling my gas powered lawnmower, so I cleaned it up and was going to put some fresh gas in the tank, so I could fire it up for the person who was coming to see it. Grabbed my jerry can and headed to the gas station…I pull up to one of the islands, proceed to get out and a fellow says “ hey Mr Mach E, you know that’s not a real Mustang and the fuel door is on the other side, and chuckles…thanks I said (being a polite Canadian)…I walk around to the passenger side and grab the jerry can hold it up and say lawnmower!” He smiled and shook his head! I drive home, put some gas in the lawnmower and she fires up and just hums! Out of the corner of my eye I noticed this new desert sand GMC AT4X pick me up pulls up in front of the house and out steps “hey Mr Mach E”, looks at me, shook his head and says “I guess the price went for the lawnmower!” We had a good laugh….best 200 bucks I’ve ever made!

The very first comment I ever received was, "Nice car. Do they still make the regular Mustang?" Most people, in fact the vast majority, aren't anti-Mach-e togoldytes.
