I’ve been back in the market for a MME and came across some folks saying they’ve been harassed because they have a MME. I’m not sure if that’s a one off situation or happens frequently enough to be noticeable.
I love the car but I also love being anonymous/incognito. On that note, I also will be sharing this car with my wife and daughter at times and definitely want to keep them from feeling uncomfortable while driving.

How have you guys felt in your MME ownership? Have you noticed an increase in unpleasant run-ins since you’ve switched to a MME?

I frequently zip around slowpokes in the left lane and give them the finger in my bright blue MME. Those people may harass you when they think you're me.

Only real harassment I ever got was after putting ice in my frunk some diesel-bro gave me a dirty look like I was breaking the laws of the universe. As you can tell from above I'm a jerk so I gave him my standard greeting.

No, quite the opposite. Anyone who has addressed me about my Mach-E has been admiring or inquisitive. If you're going for incognito, try a subtle color and don't put giant ponies on the sides. :like:

I think that EV rage has really settled down since there are so many models out there. I only get compliments, questions, and stories from previous Mustang owners. Even had a Ram Diesel truck owner in Jefferson City, MO, say "nice car."

Haven't experienced any actual rage in the 92k miles I've driven, and that's in Texas. Back when they were much rarer, I had a few people pull up beside me at a light and rev their engines - always either ICE mustangs or F-150s and I assume both took issue with the electric or mustang part - but that really hasn't been a thing in 3+ years now. Think they both figured out we're quicker than they are.

A year or so ago someone squirted a couple of mustard packages on the car while it was parked at a fast food restaurant. But nothing more serious or more recent than that. As an aside, I was at an EV meet up and public demo in rural Minnesota where several diesel pick up drivers were happily rolling coal (revving their engines to blow black smoke) periodically past us.

Only by Tesla owners, when I show up at Tesla DCFCs and a less informed MME owner parks laterally across 4 Tesla chargers while charging, rather than take 2 spots in older Tesla DCFCs.

I have never had any issues whatsoever other than people complimenting the color of my car. Ive had two other EV's and never had issues while driving those either.

I've been driving an MME for over five years now (first a 21 Premium and now a 23 GTPE) and the only incident I had was in Waco back in 21 when a crappy old suburban went by me and the passenger flipped me the bird. Most interactions have been very positive with people complimenting the look and/or color of the car.

My license plate says “82MPGE” which seems particularly relevant in light of today’s gasoline prices! No road rage yet.

I haven’t experienced this in a very long time here. I had it happen a couple of times in the first year I owned the car, but nothing since. One coal roller Dodge Ram when the car was maybe a month old, who, unfortunately for him, did it in plain sight of an HPD car in an opposite side of the highway speed trap. That didn’t end well for the Ram. Another was a Charger driving aggressively and trying to run me off the road. He was so obsessed he blew through a stop light that had been red for a long time. Also right in front of a Hawaii County Police car.

I've never gotten rage, but have received some snide remarks from a few co-workers and family members. I also live in a relatively progressive state. We still have plenty of "coal-rollers" and intolerant people in my area, but most folks are cool.

Not recently, but after I first got my MME, I had a few folks give me a thumbs up or ask me questions about it.

That said, it's always in the back of my mind that someday I may cross paths with a crazed EV hater who will try to give me his or her 2 cents. I'm a very non-confrontational person so I hope it never happens, but I also try not to live my life based on what others might think of me.
