Routing with Maps on iOS does not show charging stops

I have a 2022 GT and regularly use Apple Car Play with my iPhone 14 pro (iOS 16.5). I can use Maps to navigate or manually locate chargers. But, it will not add any charging stops when planning a long trip, nor will it give me any SOC information for my destination. I have the latest Ford Pass app (4.27.1) and the last Ford Power-up I received was 4.2.6 so I think I'm up to date.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks Patrick! That fixed it. I was trying the follow Ford's instructions posted at Ford.com and they left out the step of selecting your vehicle from Maps by first clicking on my name icon.

In iOS 17, there is one more screen before you are finished setting up your Mach-E for EV routing. You can pick your preferred charging networks.

Be aware that Apple Maps is aggressive about putting a charger on your route if it thinks your charge will fall below a certain amount - and it’s pretty high, maybe 20%+? It also won’t let you remove the stop or even set your own charger stop - at least that I’ve found. The only way I’ve been able to get around it so far is to choose “Another Car” on the directions screen before routing. ?

I have the same experience and use the same workaround. They need to improve this behavior. Maps often just decides for me to route me to a station that I don’t want and then the arrival time refers to that station and the whole thing gets to be a problem instead of a convenience.

I’ve only had this happen the first time after the driving history is reset, it’s been reasonable after it gets the update consumption data from the car. I never have it be super conservative now.

Once you add your car make sure it’s selected when routing. You want to select other car when you’re not driving the Mach E or don’t want to see the charging stops.
