Not having a spare tire scares the crap out of me.
Id like suggestions from actual users of rft's on what they have on their mach e's and how they like them on a 1 - 10 scale (ten being the best )
Thanks for helping....btw Ill need 19's

Same exact fear here.

When it comes time to replace the OEM tires, I always opt for RFT.

Loved them since the 1990s when first used on BMWs.

Never liked the first and second gen RFT (too stiff); but the current generation of RFT rides more like conventionals.
RFT gives me security due to no air pressure - can drive without any air!

Most recent is my wife's PHEV which now runs on Yokohama RFT.
Previous was my BMW 5 series with Bridgestone Drive Guard RFT.

When it comes time for my MME, I am looking at one size up (235 / 55 / 19) since there are no OEM sized RFT:

I would not go run flat, they have a very stiff sidewall because you need to be able to drive on it with no pressure. It will be a harsh ride on the MME. Also, the driveguard is not low rolling resistance and will cost you range. as much as 10%

Also with the higher load rating you need to run those at 36psi or you will wear out the shoulders first. That too will be less efficient.

If you didn't know even BMW has given up on run flats.

Lack of spare tires has been going on for years. I don't understand the fear.

And it's not really more convenient if you drive on a run-flat with 0psi and it needs to be replaced too.

Just got 4 Hankook Eon's. They are more stiff but I don't mind the bumps.

Haven’t had a spare in 7 years. Forgot there was such a thing. Haven’t used my spare since 1988. Just lucky.
